We dated for 8 years because we wanted time to really get to know each other, and our first year wedding anniversary is the 29th of this month. Honestly, checking out a dating site is one of the greatest decisions I've ever made. My wife is amazing. Could you see yourself having something with somebody, if you don't mind me asking 🤔? I'm almost 30 and my lack of relationships in my teen years has probably helped me avoid some unnecessary drama, so I feel ya a little bit. However, I do see myself still settling down with someone at some point.

I could be wrong, but I think a major issue could be Julian himself. To me, he does not seem like he is really ready to settle down. And women can sense out what is known as a "F-boy." Also, word gets around. It seems like Julian gets around, so there could also be women that tell other women that he is more a good time and not for the long term. Even if he actually is serious, I feel like he would quickly slip back to his old ways and the relationship won't last. I sadly have no advice for him other than to not rush into settling down and try to get all the "F-boy" tendencies out of his system. Time and age tends to settle people down.

Julien definitely gives me F-boy tendencies, but at his age, I'll give him a pass. Young men his age are non-commital gamers and not sure what they want. Of course, they blame the women, yet they're picking the same women in their social spaces. I'm sure if he dated someone on a steady basis now, he would get bored. I say enjoy your 20s and the time will come when he's ready to commit

Apps are how the young people date nowadays. It's one of those things like working from home that has become a post-pandemic staple. The majority of girls who go to clubs/bars aren't looking for boyfriends there. They are looking for men to buy em drinks and pay their way. Or something very casual.

My friend hates the apps too and refuses to use them anymore, she tries to put herself out there by joining classe and clubs after work, but it’s a STRUGGLE! I feel just as hopeless using apps, but Imo it’s just too hard to meet people any other way. You have to get comfortable with first dates, and make sure to think of apps as just facilitating introductions. Don't add too much pressure. We’re all figuring out how to make meeting people these days work for us. Just keep trying and gaining experience. Julian sounds too immature though, so I wanna stress the gaining experience part.

Idk.. I deleted Tinder because I guess people only use it for hookups now, but I still have a couple other ones and it just feels like a waste of space on my phone.. If I get off all of the apps, it feels like I'm not "putting myself out there", but I hardly ever match with anyone and 75% of the people I match with never message (even if I message first).. And I have friends, hobbies, go outside- I've done everything people recommend. I just don't think it's in the cards for me.

Very fun discussion. I met my girlfriend through Bumble. We've been together for 18 months and without Bumble I don't know where I, someone with extreme social anxiety, would be. Most people here don't like dating apps. I'll give you 3 reasons why I prefer it. 1. You know everyone is looking for the same thing. Do you know how awkward it can be to meet someone at a bar or gathering, you strike up a conversation, and learn she has a boyfriend? With Bumble, you know every woman there is single - for the most part. 2. No distractions. You meet them in the comfort of your own home. No other woman walking by to distract you and same with her. Also, no noise! It's quiet when you meet and strike a conversation. 3. Safe. Woman make the first move with Bumble. There are three "tests" when I use Bumble. First test is how well do we text each other. Second big test is we decide to have a video chat. If we can have a nice conversation for an hour, then we meet in person. Third test is the date. I wish Julian the best of luck :)

Bumble has NEVER worked for me. Met my ex on OkCupid but that was almost a decade ago. Now everyone the apps is looking for a side piece (AKA NOT single!) Also, 90% of the guys I have asked to video chat have either refused or ghosted when the time came.. That said. Bumble seems to work better for men. I know a couple of guys who have recently met women on there.

Im an average guy. I get girls by being intentional and present. Look yourself in the mirror and say "I'm gonna go do this". Get a haircut, reevaluate your outfits, go out more, and TALK to people even if you dont ask them for their number.

No. I'm VERY social. It's REALLY hard to meet people after college. Even in social situations, people stay in their little bubbles. Idk if they're watching too much true crime or what, but they don't want to meet new people.

my advice as a semi happy married man is go have fun and live life, I mean do things that you've always wanted to do. Like things that you can do with a partner, minus the partner. What i'm saying is if you've never been to greece, but you've always wanted, go do that. If you want to go skydiving, go do that. This way you have stories or adventures to tell, and along the way you may meet someone who may want to join you or is doing the same. Go meet women organically, while you are happy and they are happy. Bar hopping and working relationships are you at a semi happy moment in life. meet ppl at their happiest so that you know what their real smile looks like and yall are able to communicate what makes you happy at the best moment in your life.

The BEST advice that works perfectly for me is : Mingle while Being Happily Single. Don't try so hard to be with someone. The Positive Energy you give out, while being Confidently and Happily Single, will naturally attract other singles to you. It ALWAYS works for me! ;)

Honestly, just focus on your health and your wealth. Trying to find a "wifey" type in america is a damn near impossibility and will use up so much of your energy. Focus on your success then the women will look for you, just be sure to stay alert when they do. Also, never go to church looking for a woman. Only go if you believe it'll help you in your life. Even sheisty women sneak their way into the church and claim to be "born again virgins" and whatnot

Weird timing on this video since me and a group of friends are actually organising a speed/blind dating for long term relationships event in our city since both male and females are starting to get sick and tired of either online dating or hooking up with drunk people on a bar. We have gotten a lot of positive feedback not only from our age group (early 30's) but also from younger people in their early 20's since they get to meet an actual human looking for the same thing as you. If nothing else Julian could try to go to a professional bar in VRchat to meet new people. Sounds weird but it actually works.

Make it a RU-vid series! I'd watch. You can have people give interviews before and after the session. I've done speed-dating and it's scary how much it's like something from a sitcom or movies.. A montage of awkward conversations with super strange people. One girl tried to tell me about her Taylor Swift conspiracy theories and there was a guy who's whole personality was "basketball". There was one girl who spent the whole time talking about how awkward she was and how she'd been inside alone for the whole pandemic..😬

Already married and mentally not there but was in a poly relationship and it just seemed like a stressful nightmare how the way she constantly complained about it which I never understood why she agreed to do to or even get married young with the way she complained about her husband to. I'm in my 30s and actual dating and trying to find a good mate is so hard these days. There are way too many weird parameters today and ppl got so many got weird standards. Online has really opened the flood gates for crazy stuff to happen so easily. Best thing to do is take your hobbies and try to see how it's social to find others with similar interests. Online dating is not always the best option.

Honestly if you aren't super-duper conveniently attractive, white or willing to pay for it, dating apps aren't really the wave. Through a friend or in spaces with people you have with shared interests with is probably your best bet.

Yeah, being a black woman on the apps is demoralizing. All my white woman friends get THOUSANDS of matches and I get a few ogres each day.. And like I'm not a model, but I'm just as cute as these chicks. My friend decided she wanted to "try out dating women" and got more women asking her on dates than I've gotten in YEARS. Then she decided she was only physically attracted to women and didn't want to actually date one.

I know what Julian going through. I use to date girls at this club on red river and it never went well for me. I never could find someone that wanted a committed relationship. Online is the best way to do it nowadays or join something with women. Many women are unapproachable nowadays. They look at your crazy if you come up and talk to them. I met my GF online and she is younger and that’s how she dated. If I saw her out and about it probably wouldn’t have worked

I mean, try everything bro. Dating apps, cold approaching women in public, all that. Focus on yourself and progressing and a lot of the times you'll meet them along the way. Don't put all your eggs in one basket, keep dating until one of them proves they're worth investing into. Dating is rough out here for everyone in the USA, our culture is simply not promoting healthy behaviour and a lot of people are broken. Protect your peace, progress and you'll run into someone I promise.

Modern dating sucks all around. BUT, the one thing I'll say is college or take a college class. College is the easiest place to meet new people period. Not for pervy reasons either. College students are really open to experiences. Meeting people, talking to people they don't know, trying new things they would'nt normally, going new places etc etc. After college most of those same people close back up to their environment and life and the world gets cold. Just don't make that the main reason and go with the flow and make it about the experience and you might stumble in to some good relationship by chance.

And there’s nothing wrong with appealing to the demographic you want to attract. You don’t have to change yourself as a person, but at least polish and clean yourself up.

Just look and be clean, match, smell good get a haircut and beard trim if needed. My sister literally went on a date with a guy who had dandruff in his scalp and all over his shirt 👕. And I went on a date with a guy who had stains on his white Tee. safe to say neither one of these guys got a second date lol.
