Dating in Britain: The British Asian Experience Part 1

We wanted to explore dating within the Asian community in the UK so we gathered 5 Asian couples from different cultures, ethnicities, and backgrounds to discuss anything and everything about dating and marriage just in time for Valentine's Day 🌹 and Lunar New Year 🧨 !
As the interviews were too good to be cut short, we have split it into part 1 and part 2. Stay tuned for Part 2 which will be published next Thursday!
p.s. this was filmed back in summer 2019, which was before the COVID pandemic.

Asian in uk means indian, pakistani and bangladeshi people

A podcaster said Asians in UK are considered Indians Pakis Bangladesh and that area only. They still use Oriental for Chinese and all the south East Asians. Is that true?

One thing I'd like to know about dating an Asian woman in UK is ones that's born here have they adopted UK dating style or do they listen to their parents advice and adopt their home countries dating style.

Are there any British chinese male youtubers you guys can recommend I watch,I'm finding it hard to find any. They are represented in places like Canada and America but it's like they virtually dont exist in the uk maybe I'm not looking well. Thanks for the video very eye opening and educational.

Hey there, thank you for your kind comments! I agree with you, for some reason British Chinese male youtubers are quite rare. Let me see if I can compile a list which may also include podcasters and content creators in general and I'll share it with you :)

@@AsiansinBritain Thank you that would be great. I'm not Asian myself but an ally and I'm doing my best to try and educate myself about other minorities. Theres so much going on in different minority communities, so much struggles, issues etc . I just dont want to be ignorant. I appreciate other cultures so it would be nice to keep myself well informed. Thanks again for the response.

Interesting that the woman of Vietnamese descent said there's more pressure on the men than the women to 'maintain the bloodlines' - usually it is the other way round.

UK is a JBW country when it comes to dating. All the girls are into JBW in the UK. Its almost the ethnicel capital of the world.

@@wilkesmcdermid7906 you mean a white girlfriend? Getting a minority girlfriend doesn’t appear to be that difficult for most minority guys. I do take your point that there is a caste system in the UK when it comes to dating with Asian guys and black women at the bottom. What’s your background?

@@immers2410 Nope, I mean GF in general. I didn't see a single Asian or Indian guy with a GF went I went to Manchester and London. All the Asian girls were with white men and all the Indian and Pakistanj guys were not walking with women. Watch incel TV videos about the plight of Asian and Indian men.
