Same...I just saw the caption and just said "Well...let's see what's going on" because it sorta had the aura of a show I watch called "Trap Queens" 😊. It's nothing like listening to the life experiences and life stories of people who have risen from the ashes under any circumstances or situation and soared. Indeed, many lessons can be learned.
You're absolutely correct,EssieKaayy about-you are who you hang with.I can tell a lot about a person by who they ROLL with.And when you ROLL with shady people,thugs,drug-dealers,wanna be gangsters and drug-dealers there's always the possibility of jail-time.I grew-up in BAD neighborhoods,but,I chose the military. You won't get rich in the military,but,it beats PRISON.

The main reason I don't judge people who've been to prison. Many of us have text someone or called someone and said, "Hey, do you know where ABC can get some weed?" and passed that info on. My asking about weed isn't any more or less involved than what she did. By the grace of God those calls or text didn't put me anywhere nor in my opinion, would it have made me a bad person. Very good interview and definitely a wake up call for others.
i dont even smoke cigarettes lol.... I left a drug dealer in the 80's he wasnt gonna change, he went to prison for.... murder its the choices we make only by the Grace of God
Naw speak for yourself! I'm no idiot like her. Many times someone has said that to me over my lifetime. I NEVER would even respond unless it was to cuss them out for having the nerve to assume I would have anything to with illegal activities. I don't even drink, smoke cigarettes, or touch any type of drugs! She should have got more
This interview crossed my path tonight. It wasn't by accident. It was a powerful message. Life is all about lessons. We all have a purpose here and we sometimes lose focus. I didn't lose focus but fear got a tight hold of me. The hell with fear. Thanks to this tonight my faith has been restored 🌟🧡

It should be illegal for the government to do this to someone.Nobody in society has any idea that introducing someone is a crime.They are wasting years of ppl's lives & money just because they can.

When you don’t see your mistakes/failures as regrets but as lessons learned and deterrent to something worse could have happened, you’re not trapped in a box that prevents you from flourishing after the storm….. Wow… I went through the same situation but I did my time in NY. I’m not a bad person but I made some bad decisions for money just like this lady. I turned myself in and did my time. Got released in 2014 so it’s been a while but life goes on. Glad to see another woman in a similar situation that made it out and continues to thrive and live a good life like myself. Life is about decisions and it’s definitely what you make of it❤️
Sale happened to me girl! I rented a room in my condo to someone I knew and he was doing some shady stuff but I wasn’t involved I just needed some extra money so I rented the room to him and my house got raided and it’s a similar story to this one. Luckily I didn’t go to prison but I was going to court for 3 years and was sentenced to probation thank God! I had an attorney that did his thing cuz they wanted to make me a convicted felon. Good for you tho for moving forward and changing your life around. It’s not easy.

Like so many.. this randomly came up in my feed! After watching for a few minutes I couldn’t put it down. This was so inspirational and my life has also had many twists and turns by dealing with the wrong men. Thinking I could change them or that they would change for me! This woman is a light and may she continue to share her journey of triumph and healing!

But none of it compared to win the jail staff made me sign paperwork stating if I had my baby in prison she would go to my mother or DCF. No amount of money or material things whatever be able to replace the time that I would miss being a mother to my child. I prayed and told God if he got me out of this that I would do better and I would be a great mother to my child. Now I work two jobs Monday through Friday barely any sleep. But when I lay down at night I lay down with the most precious thing that money can't buy and I have time with my daughter that I might not have gotten back. Thank you for that I appreciate it.

I met girls in federal prison that had no clue what was going on they were literally just dating guys making money but never really asking the guy what his business was. One girl I will never forget in my life was a 23 year old from the Bahamas had just met a guy and had been dating him for only 3 months and they gave her 20 years. Alot is based on mandatory minimums and the judges have no real say so. I went for theft of government funds and aiding and abetting. All I wanted to do was take from them like they take from us never had a co defendant I knew to just take it and roll 24 months beats 10 years for conspiracy. That was years ago federal prison was the straw that broke the camels back I used every ounce of my troubled past to teach others I am now a self Published Author, business owner of a few businesses and motivational speaker
GOOD GOD!...20 YEARS in prison just for innocently dating a guy for 3 MONTHS??? I sincerely hope that with some reform to the drug laws in terms of sentencing, her case can be reviewed and she gets clemency.
i think women do that in general no matter what you do ... as long as you bringing it in ... ive never meet a female that was that interested or inquisitive about what i do and how i make it or even what im doing with my $$ and how im spending it etc or even if im doing ok in my field is there any concerns etc ... if anything they just wanna know where you work and thats good enough wether if its true or not ... lol now i think about it females need to step they inquisitive game up lol its 2022 yall know most these men are shady captains lol .....

Before we judge this could be many of us. All it takes is to date someone living another lifestyle and you accept it without questioning what that means to you. I'm glad she's getting her passport back and has the chance to see another day on this side.
No it could not happens to any of us. You choose to date a drug dealer. Do not minimize self choice and agency. This was not smart on her part or good decision making. She could’ve dated a restaurant server, a cashier, a construction worker, a bus driver, hell she could’ve dated someone unemployed. Why the drug dealer? Because of greed, wanting to live a life you can’t afford otherwise.

Don’t know how I came across this video but I am grateful for coming across it. I’ve been through the system and still fighting to get out of it. Even after accomplishing great things and then end up in a difficult situation definitely changed me. It’s been hard trying to get a job but I’ve been blessed with an gift with doing hair and getting into workshops so I’m grateful for that. Definitely learned my lesson n you most definitely inspired me in so many ways. I’m still looking into doing even more great things, thank you!

Wow, such an inspiring and amazing testimony. She said it was a speed bump, one that was so greatly needed in the sense that it made her even greater than she was before the break. At 105.34 this lady says something that has been constant in my life for so long with different wording. The way I live by it is (And I have it on my wall by the way) You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have!!! Man that rings so true with me. And just because you falter at any point does it mean you have to feel ashamed nor defeated. You just keep moving like you been doing. Albeit with like she said a bit of an edge. I'm very glad to have come across this interview.Knowing what I know it just might help or redirect someone else. And I myself can certainly identify. I love your story. This video came to me out the blue. A lot of people do not know how easy you can get caught up in someone else's crap. I had the same thing to happen to me. I was sentenced to 30 months in 2014 for what someone else did committing a crime just by doing business them. I had to plead guilty but I was not happy with that sentence. So I figured out how to get myself in RDAP and did 14 months in Alderson. I felt like why and how did this happen to me. But all things happen for a reason. I learned a lot of lessons about people and met a few good people from other places. I relate to everything you talked about. Very inspirational!
