I like the host. She's great.

One of those rare bands that always sounds way better live than on their album.

The other amazing lady in the studio is the presenter. I've seen her interview a few bands and she always asks intelligent questions that provoke insightful replies from musicians, used to be guarded in what they say. KEXP gives musicians the space not just to perform, but to expand our understanding and appreciation of the music we love and for that I am hugely grateful. Daughter have always been an amazing band but thanks to KEXP I know feel I know them a bit better x

Daughter is like a warm blanket of beautiful you wrap yourself up in at the end of a long day with a cup of steamy tea.

Hope they will publish their KEXP performance as album..... It's a musical treat for everyone....

Honestly? The "sad band" is a refreshing change from all the popular stuff forced into your ears every waking moment. I feel at peace listening to melancholy indie stuff like this.

This is how I discovered Daughter for the first time in 2016. Never heard of them until this moment.It was night time. Lights were off, silence in my apartment, just before sleep when I was watching KEXP.When "New Ways" started I immediately was focused on the melody. "This has potential" I thought. So I continued listening. Little did I know what was coming next. When the guitar rift came in at 2:27 I was in a new world! It spoke to me on my deep level. I couldn't stop listening. It was like fresh air that I was gasping for. It reflected something I was feeling and I could connect to. Absolutely transcending music. Two weeks later I saw them live in Toronto. From ignorance to fan in a matter of 2 minutes of New Ways. True story.

KEXP's sound production on these shows is amazing. Big ups to the engineers. For whatever reason bands seem to sound better there than anywhere else. Daughter is a case in point. London Grammar is another.

Wow, they sound so good live.... I looked away for a moment, thinking that I was listening to their album, then looked back and realized they were playing live.

I'm mesmerized by how extremely awkward and shy she is, fumbling and stammering when she talks.

I have no children, but this is my Daughter.

As a musician, those first two songs intimidate the hell out of me. Absolutely stunning. Every member incredibly talented. Such perfection in the sound.

doing the right thing is magic here

Cherryl is such an honest host, you can feel she cares for the music and the guests' thoughts and motivations. Also, thrilling performance by this band. Great show altogether.

I can't believe Lucy Parnell isn't a full time member of the band. She really creates such haunting harmonies to round out the vocals. Wow. What a find.

Lucy Parnell should definitely join the band. She brings a perfect touch of energy, making the group sounding even more special. Congrats Daughter and KEXP. Keep up the outstanding work!

This band is really good..Indie Shoegaze ...a cross between Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, Cocteau Twins, This Mortal Coil, Durutti Column & the great 4AD bands of late 80's also come to mind when i listen to this. AMAZING !!!!

I just saw them live, and man did I shatter into a thousand pieces

The audio mixing and all of the levels are beautifully melded. No one sound source drowns out another one, just really smooth waves of sound. Artfully produced audio!

Daughter gave an AWESOME performance in Portland a few weeks back.

You know I think it's great when an artists has done what daughter has done , it shows how versatile and talented the band truly is each release is like a box of chocolates you never know what you are going to get ! They maintained their sound and still managed to sound like daughter and that's what makes them great this album is a very personal album can't wait for the next release!

I feel in love with this band a few years ago when iTunes free song of the week was landfill. I've been hooked since such a beautiful band, I was lucky enough to get tickets for the show in Nashville this November. I know it's going to be magical not only to see this wonderful band, but during the best time of the year in such a beautiful state. I cannot wait.

Such a perfect example of how amazing talent refines and grows. Loved them the first listen several years before and am amazed at where they are here. Impressive they took a year to prepare and contemplate before committing to the studio album phase. Elena has a voice that is so pure, evocative and honest and echoes in her gorgeous guitar work. Host Cheryl Waters is gracious and insightful as always- wish she was my long lost aunt so I could hear all her amazing stories...
