Among the tons of changes Dauntless has received over the last year are new behemoths, new weapons, new items, new progression systems, new animations.. new.. new.. new.. new.
Listing off everything would take too long. Dauntless in 2019, right now, resembles a much more complete game and has released for the PC, PS4 and Xbox with further releases pending.

@b0sse THe Hunt Pass is strictly for cosmetic purposes, and the small bonus it does provide is pretty minimal in the grand scope of things. The rate in which you'll progress compared to someone with the Hunt Pass is virtually the same.

Rift stalker is shadow shadow cat? ummm no offends looks like rat/bat face with dog body/rat body were u got the cat from? ( also i would love if they add that u can change ur cells slots on armors pieces/ make SAVED loadouts or 5 save slots for loadouts for now later more if possible cuz men its semi annoying switching loadouts each time in 3 mins and rather stressfull and we arent even talking cell switching what u team need what u want on it and very little time or no loadouts to actualy make it worth doing (( ofc also the server fixed and ddos problems dauntless got now cuz they moved to all hated epic store)) but anyway sorry for my grammr)

@@architectsxiii5379 Weapons, melee have interchangable Specials, Not many, but they exist. Additionally they have a passive you can earn. For example my sword can have. "When special is active you are stagger immune" or "your dodge attacks always crit" Guns themselves are modular in design, barrel is element, then chamber is your main skill, Handle is your second skill usually support design. and lastly guns can modularly change their Monster unique trait. ALL of these interchangable parts, specials, and weapon passives can be Added, altered, and expanded within the Mastery system, which in its self can be modular with when you earn what. personally I love this, but I feel like the Specials could be faster to gain since it can change your opinion on a weapon. For example on Specials again. My axe Special I just yeet my axe at the enemy from afar, if I miss I have to hunt my weapon down. If I hit it rubber bands right in front of me. Its awesome.

Absolutely perfect video. This is exactly what I have been looking for. I played this game in alpha but havent played much since but still tried to follow its progress. Logically i missed some updates along the way and this video perfectly summarized it all for me. I'll definitely be checking it out again

There is also a cell upgrade system right now. You can merge 2 random cells to get random one of higher quality .However. 2 of the same cells give you same cell upgraded and 2 different cells of same class give random upgraded cell of that class.

i gave up on this game because it didn't feel very solid, especially the animations, looking at it now brings a smile to my face. They definetely made the right choice to go with a more monster hunter cross approach, with more extravagant attacks and abilities that keeps the pace going.

The 10+ minute fights only come closer to the endgame. Even solo, a lot of the fights can be cleared fairly fast.

I remember playing dauntless day 1. Being one of the lucky few to get on the servers after a 2 hour wait and grinding the game to its fullest. I remember it being laggy and after endgame not having much to do. my friend and me after playing for a month quit. But you sold me. The game looks much more rewarding with alot more progression. I'm going to come back and try to get my best friend with me, thank you for this video.

If your computer isn;'t great, performance actually got worse on the lower end and they removed the lowest quality settings, you have to play on what was before medium quality instead of low or very low.

@11:59 I bought the founders pack as soon as it was available and the alpha launched on my birthday, 8/18. I knew the game need more time but it was fun. I let the cake finish baking, and boy does it look delicious!!

I dropped this game back in its early access because I just wasnt too sure about it. Though after seeing the progression its made, plus the ways the devs appear to interact with the community I cant help but smile. I have so much respect for a publisher/dev team that puts its community first and profits second.

They did a good job programming the game, it's just the concept is questionable for me. It reminds me of an MMO except you're always on the same maps fighting the same tanky bosses over and over and over. Am I really supposed to be killing these things a thousand+ times? Why not add some zones with tons of smaller enemies or alternate styles of missions? There's nothing really to look forward to in terms of endgame, why should I be upgrading my gear just to kill the same enemies with slightly higher stats?

@@LongToad It is the end game for an MMO. Because thats all MMO's devolve too at end game. This formula may not work for you and thats fine. Monster hunter is an old series with millions of fans and all you do is kill bosses over n over. I say dont bash it before you try it. You maybe in for a pleasant surprise

@@RealTalkWithMitch I played Dauntless and I've also played almost every MMO on the market since 2000. The difference between Dauntless and a game like WoW or Black Desert (as far as content), is there is more variety in the endgame for traditional MMOs. If all you do in an MMO is do the same raids over and over, I can see how they're similar games. For me, I never was that type of person, variety of endgame content and PvP is what makes the game last months or years as opposed to a few weeks. I will say that most MMOs are pretty trash right now, I think that's really the only reason games like Dauntless are as successful as they are.

@@LongToad Your view is the issue i guess. You treat it like an MMO. It isnt, its a co-op monster slaying game. Not an MMORPG. Not by a long shot my dude. BDO is my main MMO. Has been for a few years now. That thing has the same amount of end game content as dauntless in a PvE format. Kill the same thing over n over for upgrades, but I get your point

Being a big fan of Monster Hunter World but running out of things to do in it, I've been keeping my eye on this game over it's course so far, but never actually tried it out. Given that it has a console release and the updates are still going strong (and it's F2P), I'm definitely going to give it a try now. Thanks for the update and piquing my curiosity. :)

Just wish they continued an independant launcher like warframe.... Lost hype cause epic. And the creators said they wanted to work on this game with dedication like warframe, that's why their patching is similar, I just hope they don't have stagnant moments warframe can have at times content-wise for veterans.

I really want to play this but I think I will enjoy it in 1year from now. Glad the game is successfull tho ! Love the esthetic. The thing that block me the most is the absence (80% of the time) of feedback when hitting/Shooting an ennemy.

as a guy who has 100% done the base monsterhunter world (just waiting for the expantion) this is a great game to scratch that itch i have for the genre without going back to older mh games i am looking forward to the future of this game and would recomend it to fellow mh players who want something new to pass the time with.

Yeager I agree. I jumped back into mhw a month ago since it had been almost a year since I played. Loved it, now I’m checking this out and I’m digging it. However, I picked up MHGU on switch when I feel like playing handheld. I’m slaying too many monsters these days lol.

Bruh Dude, I got so many bugs playing only 2 days -Holding interactions sometimes glitch and stuck and full circle without anything happening (mining, reviving, ect) And this happened not only to me - Wrong hitboxes (best example is hellion) -Random crashes -Stuck animations(when you throw you axe and supposed to catch it, it sometimes will glitch and spin around you dealing dmg. Pike sometimes gets stuck in rapid piking animation even when runs out of stamina) -Fov and resolution quality sliders don't do anything I hope this game fix this issues asap also adding something to do with money and adding ability to cancel your attacks

I've probably reported over 50 bugs ingame over the last 6 months, usually in a play session 1 or 2 will pop up. Some they have fixed, some they haven't. The UI is a constant mess of, well, not bugs, but problems. For example currently you can't unsocket cells, but only unsocketed cells show up in the middleman...

If you like this you should definitely also check out the monster hunter series, I recommend starting with world because it does a good job of introducing new players to the series. (also they don't have 40 minute login times but that's just me) Unless you really like the cartoon/over the top feel of this game in which case check it out but be prepared for something more gritty.

Funny how on day one, I got into the game wi h ease but queue system for a ins mace took literally 3 hours for one game that just DCd instantly, and than the next day was followed by a lying queue timer of one minute that turned into 120 hours

Good stuff. It's nice to be able to see the progress even though I doubt I'll be able to play anytime soon. It looks like improvements across the board for anyone not on PC. Sadly on the PC side, I think they made a major misstep by tying everything to Epic. Overall it was probably a good decision on their part, but makes the game unplayable for people like me who aren't interested in getting into that mess. I wish they still had a standalone launcher, but with Epic taking over the accounts, I doubt that'll happen. Otherwise I hope the game does well and maybe some day I'll be able to play again.

oh. sorry , i mean not all of them but i drop my own too i swear. i started playing last week and love it (slayer 24 already). but people seem to ignore buffs on the ground.
