I am wondering, would there be possible to interpolate any video straight to 60fps at the decoder level using motion compensation? Could that be more efficient than performing frame interpolation in postprocessing?
very bad startegy from youtube to lauch videos with av1 , because it consumes more power ..you should have rtx or latest GPUS to get it working efficiently . just a Fuck is that from ytb
RU-vid encodes its videos in many formats, h264, vp8, vp9, av1. It will automatically detect if the system is capable of using av1, and if it is (hardware decoding) it will use it. On less powerful systems, it will opt for other formats.
Av1 is not that complex. With dav1d in Mx Player a Snapdragon 625 a SoC from 2016 could easily play 1440p videos with some heating. But 1080p playback was normally cool.
