Dave is truthfully the greatest comedian in the world, I agree 100%. Saw him last weekend and he is truly unbelievable. Second time seeing him in a year, completely new material.
I’m seeing him in Iowa in a couple months. I was curious to know if he had new material. All his clips on insta are just repeats of the special and I was hoping that wasn’t gonna be the case.
"If you give him this now, what are you gonna give him for christmas?" was such a sharp line. Tony acting like he didn't know his pals were showing up all night 😂
There’s something so simple and sharp about his insults lol. I remember on the WMBD pod, Sam was talking about doing shows together with Ian Fidance on rooftops during Covid, and after they get done sharing what a great time it was Dave just goes “wow you two were a real Batman and Robin” Absolutely killer.
This is what's happened to the show. Everyone now expects highlight after highlight after spectacle. Spade was just chillin, and he actually had some good zings throughout the episode. And people are saying he was dead and self-important (in this comment section) just bc he had shades on. He interjected at great times, you just won't find them watching an Attell highlight reel
I watched the whole ep and I don’t think Spade was being a dick, I just thought he was boring. He made very few comments/jokes, and the few he did make really weren’t that funny or memorable at all. I’ve never really been a huge fan of his, but I also just think he doesn’t thrive in a set up like this
@@Eric-sb6rp hmm this is a common thing I'm seeing with the Austin iteration of the show. I gotta remind (or inform, if new around here), the show's never been about the guests. There are so many eps with big names/lesser known comics that don't contribute much, if anything at all. With this bigger platform, people expect "the celebrity✨ guest", and that celebrity to pop off. And now that's part of the draw unfortunately. But hey fair assessment if you didn't vibe with his interjections. Crowd seemed to like em
@@bruyeretv That’s definitely true. I think the comics I tend to like are the ones that are pretty actively involved in the shows, but you’re right there’s definitely nothing wrong with them just chilling and being part of it in a more subtle way. Also biased with this ep bc like I said, not a huge Spade fan to begin with lol
Neither Dave so much as giggled at Rocket. Spade chimed in more than people are making it sound like. Attell is on a media run, so Spade let his boy cook on the mic. He has shows in syndication. The money is there. It's Attell's turn right now.
HA ! Now I know why Dave Attel is not on Spade's podcast. Not dismissing David Spade for his known quick wit brilliance but DAVE ATTELL clearly showed who is the MASTER. Spade knew too well not to mix it up
Damn, the full episode of this show was hard enough to sit through. Id have thought a supercut would improve the pacing a little, but nothing can help the format of this podcast. Cringiness for 2+ hours, with a handful of zingers thrown in.
David spade had to be the biggest let down yet…I was expecting a lot more. More energy, more laughs, more smiles…. The man seemed empty the entire show
That Asian dude looks exactly like that one food reviewer that one dude he has a white girlfriend and they do fast food stuff if you know who I'm talking about leave his name and please let's get a thumbs up going
