As soon as they lost Dave they lost me, then especially when Cody was out! The show started with these two and should have ended with these two!

Agreed. Cody and Dave don’t like each other too much. But I think Cody woke up and realized that Dave’s not that bad.

i agree the show was best when dave was on it but you have to understand from a business perspective that when you embellish your military record it makes you (the company) look bad to keep that person on.

These are reruns. The show ended when it was found out Dave lied about the extent of his military career. He was just a MP, no combat or special forces experience. Dave was replaced after a couple seasons, and a younger, actual special forces fighter joined the show with Cody. Then after a season or two of them Cody quit because the newer companion was a bit mental off camera.

⁠@@crazychad2720 that “special forces fighter” also lied on his resume and was shunned by the SOF community.

That little editing mistake shows that there were times when certain things were "fabricated" or done for effect. I mean these guys didn't 🏕⛺camp-out⛺🏕 overnight in jungles with potentially deadly 🐍snakes🐍, 🕷arachnids🕷, 🐯🐅tigers🐅🐯, 🐆leopards🐆, 🦁lions🦁 or other dangerous species in places they've been to. It doesn't detract from the show, at least for me it doesn't. I still enjoy watching them navigate each place. The fact that they aren't sleeping there, or talking every single step? To be honest I sort of figured that before I found out the reality of it.Basically not many television shows or studios will allow their stars to be alone in these extremely dangerous and potentially deadly situations. So certain things were shown like making the hammocks, beds, etc, but they didn't actually sleep on the Thailand jungles.

You do realize that these guys don't always spend the nights out in these situations. Especially when the potential was much greater with venomous reptiles, arachnids, or highly dangerous predators, as well as extreme weather conditions. Sub zero with wind chills at potentially deadly levels. It doesn't detract from the show for me. If you watch really close there are editing miscues that show this. Plus there were articles written about the "realism" of survival reality shows.

I've heard it's an absolutely beautiful and amazing place. Well in some spots, but that's like everywhere. But the forests are incredible, albeit insanely dangerous.
