Dave East is the only dude I bump as far as Newest Artist!!!!!!!!!!!! Real bars not that lean with it rock with it shit!!!!!!!!!! Real hip hop is back when Dave East on the scene!!!!!!!!
that's what im sayin bro, like REAL new york shit. straight modern day homage to where hip hop started. lotta these sounds these days are crazy man. shoutout to dave east for keepin it real
For real check out vince staples, freddie gibbs, locksmiths, rittz, skyzoo, ugly heroes, jarren benton, currensy with the alchemists is old but some damn good shit. Theres soo much more too man just stay off the radio.
Dave East is now a part of musical history!! Deadly delivery, incredibly clever lyrics and unbelievable heart!!! He kept it all the way Hip-Hop!! One of my favs!!!
That Keisha joint is crazy cause the beat does not seem like a song you would make into a song about a girl. But the ending matches the grime of the beat which is amazing, imo.
this album is fire a classic this album is not going to be appreciated until yrs down the line when ppl realize that there's is not going to be a album this dope like this again salute to east bringing back real hip hop back
Bushido Brown radio time has nothing to do with songs or albums being classics. big business pays for airtime not talent fool. You could make some catchy bullshit with a fire beat and hook & with the right amount of money which is alot you could be on the radio lmao
I can't remember the last time I listen to a whole album from start to finish without skipping any songs. this whole Jawn is fire. I hope he sells what he deserves. you could tell he put a lot of work into this. thank you for sharing this
Tight boy records This is a dope album but you must not listen to alot of music if you cant remember the last time you listened to an album from start to finish without skipping haha. Not trying to be a jerk, im just saying there have been so much great hip hop lately. I have a hard time remembering the last time I did not listen to an album from start to finish without skipping.
kingreasun B4DA$$, Tetsou and Youth, Good AM, Any Curren$y mixtape (That nigga releases one every couple months so I cant name them all haha), Imperial, Canal Street Confidential, Summertime 06, At Long Last A.S.A.P, I Dont Like Shit, Neffys got wings, Underachievers released an album recently cant remember the name though, Album About Nothing, Shadow of a doubt, Pinata, Top 5 Dead or Alive, The Incredible True Story, The Sun's Tirade, iiiDrops. You want more?? Haha sorry if its more then 10 but love this hip hop shit.
I'm a BIG fan of Nasir Jones & he helped bring Dave East to the front of the line in Hip Hop... Hands down he's the REALEST in the game right now in my eyes!!! Salute to the young homie DAVE EAST!!!
Super dope emcee, that's emcee(factual storytelling lyrics, insightful point of view, visionary, etc.) not just a rapper. Dave East is one of the future's G.O.A.T no discussion!!!! Great nostalgic 90's type skits, can paint portraits lyrically, makes sense, has the versatile delivery that can blend with any region of this genre, and you can feel this man's pain, passion, ambition, dedication and fearlessness. This whole album is on repeat but here's a few tracks that stand out to me. *Keisha(true story of the night a bitch robbed him). *Don't Shoot(a ballad speaking from the perspective of the young black youth trying to do good but still facing oppression thanks to racism & stereotypes. His vocals take you from his childhood to his preteen years to his teenager days to his young adult life. The voice rising gives me chills!!!). *Real Is Back(with the assistance of Beanie Sigel, you get the essence of the culture through their back-n-forth flow). *Don Pablo(FIRE ASS TRACK FOR Y'ALL NEW YOUNG CATS THAT LOVE FIRE ASS BEATS AND CATCHY HOOKS... However, Dave keeps it gully with the bars). *Again(comparing & contrasting those around him to his revitalized state-of-mind. His heart, ambition, will & desire refuses to go back to the trenches or jail. It's forever dwell in mansions or take those footsteps up towards heaven.) *From The Heart(a message for his brethrens currently on that modern day slave ship known as a penitentiary, incarnated for simply surviving the jungle and trying to provide & prosper for their offsprings) Real emcee in the flesh. No other new school rapper can match. Best!! Point-blank-period.
atiyaleedean9816 Sorry but I can't see J. Cole being as versatile as Dave East. Dave has the flow, bars, metaphors & delivery that makes him adapt well to any track of any region of rap/hip-hop music whether it's H-Town, The Bay area, Miami, Atlanta, Mid-west, LA, Philadelphia, etc. Quite frankly, I can see him even going toe-to-toe with UK rappers rippin' beats apart. I can't say the same with J. Cole. J. Cole just seems boring. His lyrics are decent at best and his delivery is subpar, basic, average, unappealing, etc. Of course, this is just my humble opinion.
I'm from 112th street... Your verbal visions is what moves thru my blood as if I'm walking down 3rd. I listen to your words as if it's clearer then many things I'm hearing if that any makes sense. God bless you. Thanks for real music !!! East side, hope you take it to very top G !!!
