@@JerryOnEarth That supposed to mean something? I love both bands, Opeth more though. Your comment somehow seems to imply theres something wrong with Opeth even though they are one of the most influential and best extreme metal bands to ever exist.
@@lehtokurppa7824 I'm sorry that you ever thought that way, I in fact never meant so. What I mean was just to point out a probable favorite band of one particular employee there in the video, which I thought not many people would have noticed. Sir, why does a single comment always have to imply something further rather than just itself literally?
It's amazing watching seasoned performers, especially when they're playing with other seasoned musicians, because they're so ready to play anything on the fly, and still be 100% in the pocket, even if they've never played with each other before. ..he's playing with the recording here, but it's the same thing. no skips, no pauses to jump in, no flubs, just lays it down right on top.
My first concert as well. Probably what ruined my hearing, haha. Megadeth with the low tones, and Dio with the high tones (like during the keyboard solo). I think it was around Feb 88 in Las Vegas.
My mind is fucking blown to shreds. I can't believe how solid his technique is- and I've been seeing them live since 86'. Must have well over a dozen ticket stubs with them on the bill.
Of course they're Guitar Center employees. Really aren't much of a help and never seem happy or enthusiastic about music, yet alone know what they're actually talking about.
I worked at guitar center for a short while and they hated it when I would grab a v off the wall and start playing thrash riffs. They would say "but can you play hendrix or nirvana" my response was always "why the fuck would I want to play that shit".
I've heard the isolated tracks (drum and bass) and Dave Ellefson's playing there is Stellar, so clean and precise, definitely keeps the band together sonically, RIP Mr. Nick Menza, who also played his ass off, such a great line up :).
saw megadeth live in uk 95.... the music was note perfect, i didnt hear one fluff note which is very unusual for live bands.... i kinda wish they could have improvised a few bits just to switch it up and make it a more unique concert, but playing that fast theres not much room to play i suppose.... great gig...pantera supporting with dimebag... an yas he was also superb
I think he's worried about sth else or this doesn't do anything to him after listening to the damn song hundreds and thousands of times or maybe you're right
@@nisinduperera7130 like come on, I'm sure if I wasn't a metalhead I'd still bob my head hard enough than be still like these employees. Maybe it's good we don't have Guitar Center in India.
That moment when you think you have this song figured out, only to figure out Ellefson does downpicking in the verse. What a sucker punch to the pride.
dunno way back in the heavy use period, but meet dave a couple times on the basstory shows and is one laid back dude and talks with you for a bit overall nice guy after all this covid crap is over hope I get to see him and Frank on tour 🤘
Junior is such a genuine person. So glad he rejoined the band. Also my favorite drummer Mr. Menza was still alive when this was recorded. I really wish I could’ve got to meet him.
Hahaha typical salty Guitar Center employees. Upstaged by a real "Mega" star. They're little licks, fills, and local band status hubris is Null and Void!!!!
@@Jakevoss96 you're entitled to your opinion. I have not had good experiences there. The people that work here where I live ..are assholes. Nobody goes there. Just being 💯 with you.
I'm confused now. Kiko Loureio says that this riff isn't downpicked (it's both alternate and down he says) but here David Ellefson plays all downpicking. Help!
I saw that video of Kiko, the riff is all downpicked according to Mustaine, but Kiko likes to play it half downpicked half alternate, he joked about doing it when Dave isn't looking haha xD
@@adityapai4613 I know! Shawn had no soul to play. I think Dirk plays great, and he really seems to be enjoying it, I saw this MegadetH live and the sound better than in 10 or more years
Those GC employees seem a bit jealous of david haha, maybe they too were in a band once, but that more than likely flopped so they're stuck selling cheap guitars hating on everbody else living in their own self pity.
