Dave you’re so right we should be thinking about all the happiness life can bring and not dewell on the hurtful past! I have went through sooo much loss my Mom was the hardest thing I had to deal with ! Also people putting me down and making me think I am less and not worthy of anybody to love me ! I have my son and someday I will find the right person to respect me and treat me right ! But as you said there is a lot of happiness today go out and find it and out a smile on your face be kind and love one another ! This song reaches out to my inner soul and I loved your version ! You’re a true blessing . Thanks Dave much appreciated this today ! God Bless you and that amazing voice ! Hug your wife and daughter love them every second for love is amazing of a family !♥️

Thank you Dave, on January the 15th 2023, my wife and I lost our 25 year old son due to a motorcycle accident 4 hours after he got out of church. Our lives will never be the same, but this song is helping me through the rough times. Your voice is amazing thank you for helping us go through the pain and the sorrow that doesn’t seem to stop 😢

Wow!!!!!!!!!! I wasn't expecting that. You blind sided me buddy. Lost my wife to Cancer in 2011 She was only 38 yrs old. This is one of my all time Favorite Garth songs but now I have to say my all time fav Dave Fenley songs because you just blew Garth out of the water. so much soul so much emotion. damn you Fenley for making me Cry. Beautiful song! Several years ago I married my now ex wife. The relationship rocky from the beginning but being young and naive I thought after proposing things would eventually get better. Shortly after proposing my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. My relationship wasn't getting any better and neither was my mom's health. Although I was very hesitant we went through with the wedding and ununbeknownst to me this would be the last time I danced with my mother. Shortly after my wedding my mother passed away. The biggest reason I didn't call off the wedding was because I wanted my mom see her son get married and share that dance. I know everyone has a different interpretation of music or a song but that's mine. It's a song that brings back a memory and memory that will last a lifetime. Although my marriage didn't work out I wouldn't change a single thing. Thank you for your beautiful rendition of this classic song.

@@DaveFenley Thank You. He was only 60 years old and I was 46 at the time, but I was So Blessed to have stopped working when he was put on Hospice and He lived another 2 years. I cherish out memories and our older grandchildren help keep his memory alive and tell the younger grandchildren all about their Bumpa 💙

Beautiful cover. I lost my person in 1997. He was shot and killed by his brother. It was the most horrific experience of my life and I still suffer from PTSD. This song makes me think of him.
