Leontrenette White HE HIT TOCK BOTTOM A FEW YEARS AFTER THIS SONG...WITH ALL THE DRUGS, BOOZE, AND CHEATING....THATS WHEN HE REFOUND GOD AND Now he's a minster...he does both r&b and gospel now ...he got 2 new albums in the last 6 years
I love the r&b singer Dave Hollister I love all his songs he is so fine he is fantaisa cousin and kc and JoJo cousin and Calvin Richardson cousin to did y'all know that I did
Candice Barden thats because there were spiritual connections in relationships. It wasn't about two people having sex it was about two souls that couldnt hols together anymore
Man Dave sang the hell out of this song. This song was the shit this that foot stomping wave ya hand type song/singing. I also liked "One Woman Man." from his "89 Chicago Winds" album Don't sleep at all on Dave Hollister!
Dave!!!!! Omg I grew up to Dave on them Saturday mornings my Mother would play him, while I cleaned up!! Ghetto Hymns was the album!! Still is!! Damn this bring back memories!! :) :)
Dave Hollister is now doing Christian music. He was my nephew by marriage to bad I never got to meet him.. I am so glad he is doing Christian music now his dad is also a Pastor in Chicago
Daves like my little brother. He also sang Brendas having a baby and Keep your head up Tupac. He sang my first published song with Keith Sweats company
Brenda Got a Baby the video made me sick is of who would do that to a beautiful baby like throw it in the trash that's messed up that haunted me for like 4 days when I saw that last month but now I'm getting over it I just think positive thoughts
I didn't find out he was the voice behind Brenda's got a Baby until much later. They notorious about not giving the hook singer credit during the 90's.
I have been a fan Dave Hollister every since the days with Black Street. Dave know how to put it down; When it comes to music like this. This brother can sang his butt off. Dave need to make a comeback.
It’s crazy how Apple Music will remind you randomly of classic music you ain’t heard in years. He killed this song , the album and the album after this one .
Not only could he sang, but he was sangin' about somethin'. That's pretty much a lost art nowadays. This whole album was/is so sick. I'm tellin' you somethin'. Damn industry. People really miss out due to "industry standards."
These youngins don't appreciate good music these days so none of this type of R&B is being made. I asked a female the other day if she liked R&B , she said yes Drake.
@@LaCheleWallace I guess.....but I'll stick to regular R&B ......now back to listening to (that's what it's made for) by Usher as I relax on my day off
0:59 I like how the way Dave walked down the hallway brushing his beanie like "Yeah I'm not here just to sing, I'm here to make business!" I love him so much
nuff said.these ballads today got you cussing the woman out.i told my friend that the music we was listening to makes me wonna start an arguement.dafck we listening to.lol
Music of the 90's... These new artist should take an R&B history class to see what real music was. Dave has always stayed true to his roots. I'm Oakland born and a DJ and I always slide some Dave in the mix for my 90's heads!
Dam!!!! I know I'm starting to get up there now. This was my jam back in the day and I hope Dave Hollister does come back with some new material because this song really speaks to me.
I whole heartedly agree, the background vocalists are phenomenal in this track. That observation was even made by my little bro when I plyed it @home & he was only 14 at the time. They just elevate the track to astronomical levels. I'd like to see Dave live here in S. Africa as he has such a huge following here. Would also like to see him do a track with Carl Thomas & see how they bring out that Windy City Soulfire.
I'm old enough 2 b mature but not an old head , point being this is real music! Meaningful music, when ur stressed over that special someone & just @ the end of ur ropes it just helps 2 get u thru
His voice alone I jus love he can sing to me anytime ❤️❤️❤️ since his blackstreet days That’s the Jodeci ,Fantasia Nd Anthony Hamilton in him that whole family is blessed wit great great singers
I agree 2. I miss hearing true R&B music on the radio. Songs like this use to be in good rotation, but now, you'll be lucky to hear it being played @ least once.
