I absolutely love the way Dave looks at Jenny it doesn't matter if she's rambling or playing jokes or complaining which I don't see her complaining a lot I love the way he just focused in on everything that she says it's like he's listening to actually hear what she is saying😊

I love almost everything, but by changing the location of the door, you enter right at the couch, rather than into the defined entry way. Not sure it made sense to move that just to make it centered from the outside.

They are amazing, as ever. Doesn't matter what we like, as long as the owner is happy.

Is it really british or what americans think how it would look inside?!🤔 you'd be surprised about british home interiors 😅 personally i think this was very American from the outside to the inside! The fire place,the kitchen....even the bathroom is a typical american style, its still beautifully done but not quite british....but will let the brits decide😊

I can't believe how many of these home renos say that butcher block is cheaper. Butcher block costs a fortune in Canada. Certainly not cheap.

Do Americans not conduct a full house inspection before purchasing? Beautiful renovation!

Colours are all wrong for a British house. White and bright is normally chosen, not muddy colours. Fireplaces and mantelpiece are natural stone, timber, or painted black or white. Brick floors are for outbuildings, flagstones are for interior floors. We had terracotta tiles in our entry, dark timber floors for the downstairs.

Wtf? Gas lanterns at a cost of $15,000????!!!! That's just a waste of money for no potential return on investment or anything for that matter. 😕

That’s not butcher block, they know it’s not. Butcher block is cross cut & very expensive.

Gorgeous...but not at all an English cottage. I hope she has many happy years and gets a puppy, lol!

Gas lights? That’s stupid. And dangerous.

So, she spent $23k on reno and repairs and I would guess she didn't buy the house for less than $150k. That is a s##t ton of money to spend on the house and especially in the area, judging by the look of the neighbors. I question what that house would actually appraise for because all the eyewash in the world won't support what she has invested in it. However, it is truly a stunning makeover.

Why are they always displaying books like that? You can't read the titles...

Nice stone cladding - the exterior looks good. The pretty cottage kitchen looked quite English, except for the weird, stripey fold out island, that just looked wrong. Get rid of that, and bring in an old rustic kitchen table instead. The rest of the interior looked nice, but not very English.

Just don’t love the colors on this one. Or that butcher block.

Not English cottage. Maybe the fireplace, bathroom and bedroom is more cottage. but really quite disappointed. It's nice looking place but not cottage. Glad she likes it.

Oh my, that awful coloring on the butcher block. The lime contrast to the darker green - no. Hopefully she chose both.

First thing, obviously she has never seen natutal gas lighting fixtures at night. To birrow a line, "That is not a light, it is a dim". Bump outs? No. Gable ends. Ugh. Biggest ugh, they eliminated the dining area. Nobidy I know wants to eat at a breakfast bar of while sitting on the couch. The end result of this reno is imitation Americana. There is nothing that says "England" about this.

Nothing looked British.
