This really is a "weekend" report as Sunday was more of the same. Just a beautiful day on Sunday, not too hot or cool, plenty of Sun, and more Track Record times being set in 125 shifter. The most obvious difference between a "mega event" like Mid-Ohio, and a smaller event like Grattan, is the lack of RED flags! NO RED FLAGS all weekend at Grattan. Its nice to know you don't have to take a chance of getting hurt just to have a good time on track. I prefer the smaller gig's, the race "grouping" makes more sense AND is safer for the participants. Good Start to the CES - Gen 3 era!
My cracked or bruised ribs were feeling much better with the addition of Rich's Hernia Belt AND 1000mg twice a day of Acetaminophen!!!! I continue to recover from my injury as I was back out vacuuming the pool (where the injury happened!) on Tuesday (7-2) and feel like trying the lawn tractor on Thursday (7-4)!!! The belt has been the difference, just a blessing!!!!
So the Dave Larson Memorial moves on, yes.... it will continue now on to Blackhawk and likely the remainder of the schedule for 2024. We plan on RACING our CIK 125 at Gingerman in G-125 if it passes our August Test back here at Grattan.
