well, this modern, commercialized lethwei is pretty shitty, I must say. Do yourself a favor and google lethwei and pick a fight with Burmese script on it. The real lethwei. Those guys are young, fit and lean like hell, have stamina that would outlast a wild horse and fight like they mean it until knockout or when the time's out, it's a draw for both. It's a whole different game. They train since 6-8 years of age and we're talking tropics. They are made for this "sport". You would be surprised how many blows to the head they can take and keep on fighting. The headbutt doesn't make this the most brutal martial art, it's all the rest. White people are just not fit enough for that. Compared to actual lethwei fight these guys fight like handicaps. No offence to them because I wouldn't stand a chance but Burma is where you gotta look for real lethwei. Lot of Thai fighters also fight there, btw.

Haha there are so many arts! There's this new one that allows one defensive tool (either shield, helmet, or body armor). My favorite one so far. Very tactful. Bjj + helmet or striker + body armor is beautiful to watch. Any style with a shield is cool too.

Remi 118 he had a couple of mma fights and lost but this was before his rise in Lethwei. He’ll do good today.

He fought Muay Thai before Lethwei, from what I understand Muay Thai is more technical and Lethwei is more about endurance and inflicting as much damage as possible

From what I heard, Muay Thai guys regularly fight Lethwei practitioners. Unsurprisingly, the former win more often by MT rules and the latter, by LW rules.

Cant speak for the Thais but I box and even though I feel confident in the ring with gloves, I can tell you a street fight without them is different. My instinct to guard leaves opening in my defense due to the gloves size. I can around by deflecting but guarding and punch power is a game changer without gloves

@@jacobmoore6874 That actually might be true brotha but, you're missing my whole point. For an art that old to be represented by one guy who isn't even from that country, is a little exaggerated. Like I said, Leduc is great but, there has been better examples imho.

@@vgman94 Tway Ma Shaung is arguably the best example. He's one of the more aggresive/technical fighters in the art of Lethwei. Tun Tun Min is also great. He fought Leduc 3 times with 2 of them being draws and 1 victory to Leduc. The thing is, Tun Tun Min had a knee injury the last two fights. Granted, he admitted Leduc's height and reach was an issue but, the man is a 3 time Open Weight Champion. Tun Tun Min will fight literally anyone but, gets bad publicity because he's Muslim. Too Too is another fighter that cones to mind. He's the Middleweight Champion. There are quite a few more than the 3 I mentioned but, I cant remember how to spell their names.
