Thanks so much for uploading this. I've listened to great drummers of ALL musical genres for almost 40 years, Dave fits squarley into the 'superb' category of drummers. Full stop. Just Watching & listening to him is an experience in itself

Dave created thrash drumming in 1983. While Dom Famularo created the fast double bass in the late 70s, Dave made it an art form. Nothing against Paul, but there's no replacing Dave.

Great video, thanks so much for sharing! Lombardo is by far my favorite drummer/ musician of all time.

At the end of the '80's i wasn't that familiar with Slayer and the heavier heavy metal in general ( i loved Maiden and Whitesnake at the time and still do btw). At that time i thought it was just rubbish.... But than i saw them live in Leiden ( The Netherlands) and i was amazed and surprised by there music and how good they performed live. In short: this was a (positive) eye opener!!! Changed my view on the genre entirely!

This man is not a human being... no way... wow...come on... He is the GOD of DRUMS... RESPECT TILL DEATH....

The thing is solo's bore the ass of me live in concerts always have. Small exceptions for Angus and long time ago best bass player in the world Cliff Burton but nobody else I care to much about. I wouldn't even consider Kirk Hammett solo even though they my favourite band for decades. This though is different its a breakfast club if you like of the biggest monster in metal on the drums and its fantastic.
