This was my kids first "concert". We got there 2 hours early and got a spot right up front in the corner. Dave shook my brother-in-law's hand when he came out! Just as Stay or Leave ended at 25:24, Dave notice my 4yr old son on my shoulders feverishly applauding and smiling!! Dave pointed at him, and smiled back and by reading his lips I could tell his said something like, "look at that smile...". Stay or Leave will always be my favorite song just because of that little moment. I'm proud that my 3 kids were able to see Dave in person, 10ft away for their first concert! ;)
That’s an awesome story. I’m happy your kids had that experience. This kind of music makes you a better person. It gets in your soul. I know it did for me as a kid
99% of the so-called "artists" on the pop music charts CANNOT perform live like this. Respect to Dave for being a true artist who can absolutely nail each song performance, even solo in a mall. Justin Beiber couldn't hold Dave's jock strap.
DM is a modern day Mozart. 200 years from now when the Psy's and Beiber's are long forgotten, people will still be listening DM, and borrowing inspiration from his incredible catalog of music. He is a musical genius.

I was the guy that shouted RYE Whiskey and he played it-- and it wasnt on the setlist, so that was pretty cool and stuff. This video is just awesome because it shows how real Dave is and why I think so many people like the musics.

Dave Matthews Band has been (without a doubt) my fav band since the early 90's. There is nothing on earth like sitting in row close to the stage at a live concert. It gave me a purely euphoric feeling through the entire concert the first time I had a chance to go. GREAT!!!!
I'm on my wife's account... she passed a few months ago and "stay or leave" hit me hard takes new meaning to me now. Followed by the whiskey song I've become an alcoholic since she left me. We saw DMB 5 times together I'll never forget the first show we saw together we were young and I couldn't afford to buy her a tshirt and we found one in the mud that fit her perfectly. The last time I saw her alive she was wearing the shirt. She always wore that shirt.... I'm sorry I'm being a bummer... thanks for so many good times I will never forget dave thank you.
Dave probably lives down the street so he jumped in the Benz and headed down to perform what will be the best show the people who were at this event will ever see! I'm a huge fan who just loves the live performances. He's a true artist and this Rye Whiskey version is truely out of left field!!!

Awesome - I grew up in Bellevue, and hung out at this mall many a time. Sad to have missed this, but I'm glad it was recorded. Huge thanks to Chester and Dave for this!
I'm not even a huge Dave Mathews fan, but I dig some of his music...true musicians...as I watch him sing and play at the same time, he almost seems robotic, like he's so damn good he can just program himself to just go all out...some of the stuff he plays is not simple, and he has to sing over every little thing he plays...impressive.

Even when it's just him and a guitar without the band, with even Tim he's amazing.... It's sad his guitar playing doesn't get more respect... No one else plays like that and even John Mayer claims him as an influence.

It is absolutely maddening that this only has 15K hits and that crap by Gaga and Berber have 100's of millions of hits. Makes you really wonder what direction humanity is going. Big ups to Bill Gates for having good taste in music.
