@@henryseisenman I personally like the vocals on this alot. I feel like they are very soulful with the edge he gives it. I do kind of prefer it over his slurred vocals were you sometimes cant hear what he is singing, but i like those too.

i love all the regular people in the comments who aren’t musicians making comments such as “awful” “terrible” “so bad”... as a musician myself, and also a solo vocalist, i can assure you how he is singing is not easy. it’s not easy to get that emotion/almost raspiness and sound good. his vocal performance here is actually VERY IMPRESSIVE. and this is from someone who owns every dmb album, seen them 8-9 times over the past 10 years.

He sounds like a wounded cat after being run over by a car. Jus sayin. For the record, I actually do know real music, haha. I saw Dave many times in the early days including opening for the Grateful Dead, which was a real band with a real following. DMB heads are well known to the be 2nd most annoying fan base of all time, behind only Jimmy Buffet's Parrot Heads, of course.

Apparently some of these people expect a band to stay the same throughout their career and never grow as artists. Or perhaps they don’t realize how hard it is to keep growing as a musician or how hard it is to sit down and write a song, much less years and years worth. Creativity seems to be a foreign concept to them.
