I was born in 1989. I wish I had been introduced to them earlier than when I was in high school. A marching band member told me how good Carter was. So I ended up listening, fell in love, and can NOT, stop listening. I repeat CAN....NOT. Lifesavers they are.

Song is beautiful and have loved it for so long. Perfect message and as a heavy person watching heavy people in the band play on a song with a repeating lyric “I eat too much” feels comforting in a food addiction type of way. Love it.
So, it's 2017, and I cannot help to remember my tiny little son singing this when he got in trouble. He was born in 1997 and between you and me, if he sang this to me - instantly he would be out of trouble. It was something I cherish forever. I gave this guy a ride from Fowler beach to Watermill or East Hampton, Long Island, NY. He asked me if I knew about another phone booth that worked. He wanted to finish reading a book on the beach and would call his friends when he needed a ride back to town. I said I'm not from around here. My wife and I were washing the Beach sand off our young daughters. We started traveling the 5 miles or so back to town when we saw Dave. I stopped and said "hop in" and he said "you really aren't from around here." We did a little small talk and he said that he was working on a video. I introduced my self and He said " my name is Dave Matthews". A couple of weeks before I bought an album by him. My favorite song was "Too Much"
I had to buy this cassette twice because my tape deck ate the first one....GOD THAT MAKES ME FEEL OLD!!! Kids, you may be able to see cassettes at a museum or on the interwebs.
LostT: Too funny! I adore it. Delicious music though, one can hardly blame the tape deck. This used to happen me routinely. In rare instances I was able to gently wrest the cassette from the jaws of the beast (much snarling). Then, even more rarely, I was successful in rewinding it with the aid of a pen or pencil to get a couple more plays. Lovely post. Thank you.
Well...at least it wasn't 8-track. Haha. btw, don't feel bad. I lost many a good tape back in the day. Or I rewinded a tape so many times that the fidelity was all gone due to magnetism of the tape heads. Ahh... those were the days.
he's actually a puppett being held up by strings that have been CGI 'd out !! the FUNK OF IT !!! So addictive as indeed i believe the lyrics relate to that and grateful to be sober still enjoy the night knowing you can never get too much of good music !!
