Dave McKean on illustrating Roadside Picnic 

I absolutely love the design on this book. Mr. McKean has really captured something incredible with his illustrations.

Dave McKean is one of a few, who is an inspiration on my art. One of my favourite artist, or illustrators...I think he doesn't care for the term "artist" 😅 I'm 46 and I started loving his work since I was a young lad 15-16 when he..with Grant Morrison, did Batman Arkham Asylum book. Absolutely brilliant art and writing. Since then I started art. To this day I mention Dave McKean in any conversation👍🏻

I wish these beautiful editions were less expensive.

I’ve loved Mr. McKean’s work since I had the pleasure of seeing his film, MirrorMask. I will be sure to add this to my folio society shopping list.

Roadside Picnic is more Lovecraftian horror than most books that are intentionally aiming at Lovecraftian horror.

Mine arrived today from the Zone! McKean's great followup to Gormenghast!
