@@JacketsOnFire Yeah expect the only reasons companies such as Mercedes Benz exists is because they have a safe society backed with laws, markets, etc. provided by a government. Anarchism doesn't exist nor work. Just like when the Neolithical revolution started, when humans grew an excess amounts of food, they could trade that away for other stuff like protection from the more beefy guys. Abolishing society is a stupid and fairytale idea and will eventually turn into humans creating it again.
Dave & I are only 12 days apart. I understand his thinking process. Intelligence is a factor & honestly not many can converse. It's not arrogance. It's just the way we are made. Would love to have a conversation with him. Direct (no gray areas) & no BS. Betcha, he likes to read & watch PBS too!
He write the solo in jump. He wrote the solo to phantom lord. He wrote the middel section in mechanix ( the 4 horsemen) he wrote the opening riff to metal militia, he wrote the slowly part in the call of ktulu. He got extreme royalties for that. Hes a laier, suddenly he says he s produkt that some of HIS songs is on kill EM all, next week HIS pissed about hit. Befare dave join metallica. Hetfield and Ulrich had hit the lights, seek and destroy, whiplash, no remorse, so dave you came info a band that was thrash metal before you knew that term. Amazing guitarist. But why Lie all the time? You are a Christian now so speak the truth.
Think of the odds this guy overcame. An abusive father, getting kicked out of the biggest band in the world, fighting addiction, fighting cancer. He overcame all the odds though sheer will and determination. And after all that, he still has the passion for his music. Must respect to Dave!
I know he can be a dick sometimes, but Dave is a super intelligent, articulate guy and is right up there with Iommi as being one of the all-time great riff merchants. United Abominations was an awesome return to form and Endgame is a total masterpiece and one of the best sounding metal albums ever. Andy Sneap is a producer genius!
Kevin Blake you have to remember where this guys coming from, he was kicked out of the biggest band out there, so its only natural for him to constantly want to make himself look better. I would be furious If Iwas kicked out of metallica lol
Kevin Blake Dave can be a dick, but it's just when someone pisses him off. Mostly, he's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. I felt lucky to meet him. He didn't act like a big headed rock star. He treated me with respect, like he knows I put my pants on the same way he does. Iommi is overrated.
Dave Mustaine is a very down-to-earth individual, and, despite what people make think of him or other metal performers, he actually knows what he's doing. He doesn't just know how to play music; he's a musician, playing with heart and soul that people who look down on him simply don't see.
@@inspectorbudget I don't think it would work haha. Jeff Young is far deep in his classical / baroque thing, and as for Chuck Behler well we haven't heard of him since, in any involvement whatsoever
I was lucky enough to meet Dave Mustaine back during the Rust in Peace 2010 tour. He was real down to earth and fucking cool guy. Gave everyone in the room time to talk to, signed everyone's shirts and posters and shook everyone's hands. Same goes for Ellefson he was the same too.
I love Dave! Master of Metal! People doesn't realise what a great song and riff writer he is! The album The System Hs Failed from 2004 is a masterpiece and all song from that album is extremely good! Dave is a really badass musician and i really like his style!
big fan..dave is brilliant...seen megadeth 3 times when marty n nick menza were still in the band...on the countdown tour..youthanasia toye and the cryptic tour :)
Dave's inability to reach Metallica's level of success was actually a blessing and not a curse. In 2019, Metallica is worn and weak. Some may have taken their success and talents for granted and become spoiled by success and all of its traps. In 2019, Dave is still a lean, mean metal machine who never lost his hunger. In my humble opinion, Megadeth has now eclipsed Metallica.
@@jonpresley1163 Lars is mediocre James cannot replace Little Lars because he had contacts on record company back then...donñt get me wrong I am Metallica fans since 85
I saw them play with Slayer at Ozzfest 2016, I was 39 years old, but felt like an excited child when they started off hammering down on us with Hangar 18!! My two all time favorite bands, I was blessed.
As for guitars, my Dean 79ZX is by far my favorite of all my guitars.Long before he passed I put the Bill Lawrence L500XL in honor of Dime and it is a tone monster. Another reason I like Dean is unlike many other manufacturers Dean makes various colors for us lefties besides just black.
Without a doubt one of the most important and influential Musicians in the 80’s Metal Era! Dave Mustaine’s talent as a musician and songwriter sparked the path for Thousands.
Awesome that Dave plays through the same Dual Monoblock Marshall 9200 that i have ,absolute best tube amp ever made with so much power the amp requires 2 seperate power cords, one for each monoblock inside.
Megadeth rules ! But the kind of thrash metal they're playing now is totally fucking different than how they used to play in the 80s and 90s... Now they are combining different elements from thrash metal, speed metal and even progressive metal !
@taylabrain I know plenty about Metal. Yes Metallica were the first real American metal band, but I think Mustaine deserves as much credit as the band itself, not just for being in there at the beginning, but because of the creative intentions he's displayed on his own albums as well.
Dave is cool. He has this arrogance that kinda turns into confidence/vice versa/ ..I couldn't see David Mustaine any other way. He's real as real gets. I'm a Christian..You don't like it, Fuck off!! YEAH. We need more people like this in the world.
I understand what dave means about his guitars . I been a BC Rich fan since 1990 and thats been my guitar of choice . I love the necks and the fretboard work . although I dont like that widow headstock , but I love the ones that have the les paul type head stock and the cloud inlays . its all about the bich and the mockingbirds . I'll always be a fan till I die
@@dallaswinston5906 really leper messiah? and i dont think he wrote ride lightning completely just the one riff that is also kinda in Wake up dead isnt it?
Dialetic Chaos from Endgame. It leads into This Day We Fight, which is an awesome song. It works kinda like Into The Lungs of Hell/Set The World Afire from So Far, So Good... So What!
@Chris4curry same here, but im 11, play guitar AND drums, and i have a band :) we also look up to metallica, megadeth and nirvana etc. and i agree, this generation needs to do something.
@Chris4curry It's good to know there's other people trying to help the thrash community. My friends and I are 15 and are really serious about our band.
@heikoyh you can listen to both dude. just because megadeth is far better doesnt mean metallica is bad. sure most people grow out of metallica fairly quickly but its not bad to go back and listen to them now and then
@aatefmagic Thrash is clearly not dead, as any young person who likes metal likes bands like Metallica and Slayer. Music has just moved in a different direction, and new Metal music is awesome. I think Metal has expanded and become much more diverse and versitile. Great bands range from Finntroll and Korpiklaani, Avenged Sevenfold and As I Lay Dying. In the 80's, classic rock and seemed to be dying, and in the 90's, metal seemed to be dying. This is just how music moves.
@taylabrain Yeah, that's fair enough. I think it's safe to say that his firing is what pushed him. And he happened to be in the right place at the right time. Musically Metallica and Megadeth are still on it. In a way that did change guitar playing. They gave newer players a better and more realistic starting point. However, better players than them have taken it to the next level
dave is awesome in so many ways, to be kicked out of one of the world's biggest bands and to reform and rise from the ashes is unbelievable, really Metallica lost a huge amount of creativity when they let Dave go..
