Another way to look at medication: no one looks down on someone with an infection for taking antibiotics. No one looks down on someone with diabetes for taking insulin. No one should look down on someone for taking medication for their mental health. ❤️

Dave went to my high school (University High in LA) for a few months and dated my friend. He was very nice, a bit on the quiet side, but very down to earth. Loved the podcast.

I found my mom dead in 2010 and lost my dad to cancer 3 years ago. I have no siblings so they were my best friends. I always feared the day for either and it's insane what grief can do to a person mentally and physically. I ended up having seizures for 2 years after my mom passed and the dr told me it was from stress and grief. I also lost my cat who was 3 days away from turning 20. I grew up with him and he was always there for me. I totally understand your grief. I had him cremated and he stays in my room in his little box. So sorry for your losses ♡♡♡

I love when successful people talk about struggling with mental health. Because a lot of people still think that anxiety/depression is because youre not happy with your life, job etc. This episode was one of my favorites❤❤

I love Dave. I’m so glad he survived everything. He went thru pure hell & wants to help people. He doesn’t even have to.

I had always assumed that Dave was this narcissistic asshole- I don’t know why? This was eye opening- he’s a sweet and vulnerable guy who’s very honest and self aware. Nice.

I'm very thankful I came across this video today, really needed it. As someone who is diagnosed with mental illnesses, it's very difficult to explain my struggles to others who haven't experienced what I've gone through. Everyone deserves to be accepted and included even if you don't understand why they do what they do. Both you and Dave covered a lot of areas of mental health that other interviews skim over.

Amazing as always girl!!! My body has gotten crazier about uppers too!! I’m a recovering addict...I did all the drugs that led up to a nasty heroin problem. The dope made me not sick, then shoot the coke for a buzz then shoot the dope to stabilize. And now any thing with caffeine makes me feel super anxious. Im an artist with duel diagnosis too. Addiction and bipolar. My art, Methadone and lots of therapy helps me manage things and I’ve gotten my life back. One that I’m proud of!! Sober 4 yrs from illicit drugs in March 2021🎊💖

My husband & I have counseled many marriages. Here's the thing, every marriage goes through the "we're just roommates" phase. Not that you stopped caring for each other, you just feel very familiar & not romantic towards the person. You can work through it. Most ppl do work through it. The few times I saw ppl not working it out (it was the wifes every time we counseled a couple) it was because the wife already had her eye on another guy that she was already flirting with, cheating with or something in between those two. I'm not judging either, I'm just stating what I've seen. Please don't walk away from a marriage with someone you love simply because you're not feeling butterflies or sparks right now. You can get them back, please seek marriage counseling with someone interested in helping you stay together. I've been with my husband 18 years, married 17 years. We went through that "we're just roommates phase" back 12 years ago for about 3 years. But now, he walks into the kitchen & I get butterflies or he flirts with me & I giggle. But, it's work, on both sides. We pour into our marriage instead of just coexisting & neglecting each other. If you're in a terrible, toxic relationship, please get out of that. But if you love the person & they're good to you. Please don't tear everything apart in your life for butterflies. A relationship is work. Get support, do the work. Best wishes to you all.

i've only found dave's work in the last few months but honestly listening to his outlook on life and trauma and mental illness has been such a positive influence on my mental health bc i've struggled since a really young age and coming across someone who gets it and is such a huge self care advocate has been really cool.

Fantastic episode. Have always been a huge fan of Dave’s and it’s really good to see him doing well. This seems like it was a very healing conversation. It is always hard to lose a pet (this word isn’t strong enough for what they mean to us) , but we can carry them with us always ❤️

I personally don’t have mental health issues but my 19 year old daughter struggles with anxiety, OCD and adhd which has increased during lockdown. It took me 14 minutes to notice the dog! What a sweetheart haha! I really enjoyed the podcast - first time viewer. Dave sharing that medications need to become acceptable in 12 step rooms was spot on. You can’t lie to yourself, so no one can say your recovery is wrong. As long as you can honestly say “this is helping me” and you fall asleep guilt free, screw what anyone else has to say

There were some eye-opening moments here. I related so much to what was said about our mental health. I was diagnosed with OCD a couple months before the pandemic, and I've recently been battling more than one relapse. It's been brutal. One of my friends was murdered when he was 18, I was 19 and watching Dave’s movie about his mom opened up a flood of tears. All the pain he went through The MDMA can honestly really really help if you have deep trauma in your life, micro dosing helped with my depression. I haven’t tried DMT but I really really want to.

I love this. Been through addiction and trauma myself. Done 12 step, never knew Bill’s story was only his partial story. I’ve definitely worked with psychedelics too, after I got clean. For 6 months, I felt alive and brand new and I found god within myself and realized that we live within a dream within a dream. So much amazing things you learn about yourself and the world around, realizing we’re all one.

I went from sad, to anxious, to anger, fear and then relief. Relief that you were able to face satan in his purest form, on many levels and literally walk away a better man!! Awesome job the whole way around and I’m sure your mom is beyond proud of her beautiful son!!!!
