I like rappaport and hate him at the same time. I appreciate that he speaks his mind but he’s an overly opinionated New Yorker who cant ever admit he’s wrong, he’s like spike lee to me in that regard.
@@andyward8430 Huh, interesting comparison but completely agree. I respect the both of them for their accomplishments and wouldn't mind having a beer with either, but how long till they're both doubling down and talking out of their ass? Something about assholes and opinions hah
Yea i never want my lawyer to see what the opposing witness is saying unless he has a better card waiting to be played. This guy simply folded and moved on to the next hand 😂🤣🤦🏾
This dude is a legend. I would have to agree with him, "Well that went well". I can only imagine the lawyers thoughts after his big piece of evidence defended him.
@@martindg93Dude *does* realize that. Obviously. Which in turn makes you trying to dunk on him so much funnier since you clearly don’t have the brainpower to understand any of it😂😂
Portnoy's father being an attorney probably helped him tremendously. He handled this deposition like a pro. Short, direct answers. Only "yes" and "no" when possible. Don't give them anything that they can twist or purposely misconstrue in an effort to set a 'perjury trap'. Nicely done.
as soon as he said, "uhhh you said that, not me".. these lawyers had to know they were fucked Shoutout Mike Portnoy Esquire for making sure Dave was raised to win
The look on his face after hearing the video this first time is priceless. He’s waiting for so,thing to argue, and still waiting because there’s literally nothing hahah
@@seanmayo206 Near as I can tell, Portnoy had reason to fire Rappaport, He wrote a "you're fired" msg, but Texted it to Mr. Wrong Rappaport, not Mr. Right Rappaport in his phone. 2 guys, same last name. Since Portnoy knew that Rappaport would go off and have a public hissy fit, Portnoy decided he would capitalize on it by producing a T-shirt of a clown and sent a text to a 3rd person. The T-shirt designer/producer, saying "get this ready" Mr. Rappaport seems to believe that that shirt is defamation as in his eyes it implies Rappaport has Herpes and that he was fired for Portnoy to sell the shirt. Basically sounds like a washed up ex B-list actor had a temper tantrum over getting fired and wants to pin the fall of his career on that and not on the work he's done in the past decade, so if it sounds stupid and convoluted. That's cause it is.
you should see the fucking case im dealing with right now. almost a million dollars in tax dollars being wasted over a corrupt detective. ill make sure it makes the news ;)
What’s so simple and smart about Dave is that he really does never lie. If he says something he takes full accountability and if he claims he didn’t say something he’s telling the truth and he’s able to back it up. It’s such an easy way to stay out of trouble, just be honest and the result will always be better
El prez on his Bradley cooper from Limitless Probably railed an addie seconds before this deposition Never mess with portnoy on addies It’s like sensu beans for him
It’s pretty cool watching this. Davey’s such a jock goofball on the surface, but you really see his killer instinct here and why he’s such an insane success in life.
Not only did Portnoy accurately predict Rappaport's next move, he prepared his strategy for what he would do in response. Portnoy knew the game and the players so he did what he felt gave him the best chance for a win. That's just being a good competitor.
They try to phrase everything to get an answer of yes or no, or correct or not-correct. Witnesses elaborating on facts doesn't play well in court for legal reasons, so they've learned to ask very specific questions that only require yes or no answers. You're right about the weird double-negative there, though.
@@brianepst Its their job to ask good questions.. If you are phrasing things in a way to "trip someone up", then they can argue they misunderstood the phrasing of the question which also hurts, as using double negatives like that makes it considerable that someone could misunderstand the question rendering it useless in court.
I love how stunned as the day is long Rapaport's lawyer is. Plays a tape that completely sinks his case. El Prez sitting back looking over at his lawyer like, look at this idiot.
T-shirts at Barstool can be created quickly; nothing has to be "ready". I remember multiple videos where Dave comes up with am idea on the fly and says right then, 't-shirt guy, make it happen' and it's out not soon after.
Tshirt period, not just at barstool. Use tspring for example. You can design and upload anything you wish in minutes and sell as many as you can without ever having any ready
@@WBsteve Depends how good your artist is at rendering the visual... Printing the shirts takes seconds tho once the design is ready. Some artists are incredible quick at getting a great design rendered and ready for print. While others are incredibly slow.
Lmao wtf. This is the kind of stuff you can't even script cuz no one will believe it. That lawyer literally listened to a time frame repeatedly, thought he had a gotcha moment and absolutely wrecked himself.
Imagine being a lawyer with an inability to listen to a video that lays out the chronological order of events... and then continuing to misunderstand until it’s explained to you for the third time...
@@jgcgsgmg you’re right for sure. I guess most lawyers aren’t expecting their crappy deposition arguments to become viral videos that would taint their image, cause no way I’d hire this guy lol
Porntoy is as sensitive as it gets. He's a dumb guys smart guy. The little girl cannot handle simple things, like someone saying "buddy" casually - he can only read inbetween the lines and search for offesne lol. And he got mad at Rappaport for saying the term "stoolies" is dumb and no one uses it in real life - which is true. Portnoy the douchebag literally couldn't handle that his "stoolies" thing is stupid and it never worked with fans. He had a temper tantrum just because someone said it's stupid lmao. He's a sensitive, ignorant, and arrogant baby, like Trump.
@@chuckclark6162 Awesome line man, you really got me with that. Did you make that up yourself? No? Copied other kids online, again? Yea, that's your style lol. Anyway try not to get so triggered when people merely mention your daddy critically.
Like him or hate him, if you always “go through the front door,” I.e. never do anything shady and are super open and explicit with everything you do, you rarely have anything, if anything at all, to hide. And, when lawsuits like this come up, they’ll just look silly.
I have to read the history of this feud. Making fun of someone having herpes all over the internet and making a t-shirt about it is pretty brutal. But if Mike started the feud, he was pretty stupid to start it with someone with their own popular website, where not only does Dave have the ability to publicly bash him, but he has no choice but to publicly bash him. Because as the owner and leader of barstool it’s not an option to sit back and take it and not respond
Cant stand Rapaport. Runs around trashing everyone. Then when people defend themselves he sues. He has terrible character as a human. Gosh. Thats what you get for acting like your tough all the time. Goodness man. Guess you gotta stick to the script now or you wont get paid. Switch careers man
