they actually bleep the same thing at 4 diferent points in this show.... they did 4 times the amount of work they would have to do in this show than they needed to do to keep surviving barstool up.
Its not about 10 bucks. It's a product everyone thought would be free, you reel them in w 3 episodes, start charging them, and still leave all the ads and product placements in. The only person it cucks is the fans.

It was one line to edit, this was just an easy excuse for a money grab. Now they are using this drama for content. Literally in this video they say what Kirk says but with bleeps (edited).
Editing every single piece of content they put on RU-vid to comply and then saying we won’t change because it’s not who we are while asking people for money is effed up logic. Also, biggest unforced error ever. Lost millions on this.

Was the main story arc centered around how many threats people were making towards each other so much that Dave was unwilling to compromise? Was the $10 worth all of the totally uncensored content that makes Barstool the super edgy company we see everyday on all of their other RU-vid channels?
@@uncagedrat9830 they literally edited the thing youtube asked them to 4 separate times in this video alone (literally saying the same thing from Surviving Barstool). To suggest making 1 edit to 1 episode is too hard or would ruin their integrity is utter nonsense.
When they keep saying “there’s more stuff coming” I find it hard to believe. Maybe next weeks episodes have some crazy stuff, but nothing from this week seemed like it needed to be censored
90% of these comments/expressing frustration. Once they moved it to PPV I completely lost interest (loved the first three episodes and yes, I can easily afford $10). Even if it’s worth it, such a stupid and contradicting move. “F RU-vid” but still post all their content on it. If they were serious they would bring down all their content from it but they know they need RU-vid. It appears it was one scene with an issue and the rest of 9+ hours of the show wouldve been fine. Still like barstool but Dave acts tough for no reason sometimes. Also not a good idea to call your fans broke bums, pretty simple business.
Y'all should do both. Give the paying customers (I'm one) the unedited version like you are, but also put out an edited RU-vid series. 🤷♂️ Why not? I wouldn't feel slighted. I get value above that of a non payer. And you could do it for RU-vid with a 1 or 2 day delay for additional editing.
such a clear bait and switch. its such an easy thing to edit the videos that are already up and keep the unedited ones for paying customers... (notably you bleeped the same thing at least 4 times in this video alone) you are refusing to do that because you want to get more people to pay. its a strategy, but one that people frown on, especially given that its now clear this was the plan all along. What makes it clear that this was always the plan is taht you have advertisers... they presumably sponsored based on there being a LARGE audience becasue it was free so presumably they would NOT be okay with taking it off youtube for something that can be easily fixed.... therefore, they must have known ahead of time that this was going to occur, meaning Barstool knew.

I bought it and I feel guilty. It's really nothing special. Prez saying they had to put it on youtube cause a bunch of crazy shit happens was a flat out lie. NOTHING crazy has happened since they switched to ppv.

Just the most unnecessary course of action he could've took. RU-vid isnt "targeting" barstool, this has been there terms of service forever. This is Barstools fault for not understanding/reading them before posting the videos. RU-vid/Google doesn't give a fuck about Barstool as a brand.

Why wouldnt you just post it to the site for free and ask for donations? Then "Barstool will not be censored" and you sensor yourself in this stool scenes. Im a huge barstool guy but this was a misstep.
I don’t know if calling a video, “Free Content” (Tommy Smokes) that has advertisements playing is accurate. Regardless, I was happy to hear how many people bought it and even happier that the remaining episodes will be released at a later date.
The amount of people complaining just cause they wanted to keep the show the way it was, over $10...I mean I'm broke, can't pay to watch til Monday, but why complain so much. I've been here since 2016, and just cause RU-vid sucks isn't making me leave or complain.
all I’m gonna say about barstool sports is it has been around 10 years and posting on youtube for years. Yet they only have 1.6 million subscribers. So, of that's rhe case....the entire explanation of "we aren't gonna censor ourselves" is completely a lie. You consistently work with RU-vid to censor yourselves and on this particular occasion, you didn't want to wait for them to get back to you. So now your excuse for taking them all down and refusing to air sny of the new ones, which had ZERO questionable content is just a lie. Look, Dave is trying to make Barstool profitable and they have been running in the red for a while now. He had to cut employees and probably still has more cuts to make before this thing is at least at a break even position..so he saw how popular Surviving Barstool was and he wanted to make some $$$ on it. Didn’t find the threat from Kirk to be funny at all, and people seeing this show without knowing Barstool wouldn’t have taken it as a joke. Should’ve edited it out in the first place. I still bought the rest of the season, but they censor stuff all the time, I don’t get why this was the hill to die on.

Care less about 10 bucks but calling us poor people annoys me. I started following barstool in 2017 ish when I was 18 and had to text my dad to send me 10 bucks or whatever it was to buy Sirius xm to listen to y'all. Most of your fan base is in college and broke
