Ahmed phelephe American here. This is the first UK rapper I’ve listened to, and I feel spoiled that this is my first experience from a foreign rapper. Dave is something special and I’ll definitely being paying more attention to the UK scene.

Catalyst Do that and you will not be disappointed. You should give these a listen too. J Hus, Mostack & Aj tracey for the bangers, melodies & wavy songs. Wiley, Dizzee Rascal & Giggs for grime. Loyle Carner, Avellino & Wretch 32 are wordsmiths and got a nice wordplay like Dave too. Cadet(R.I.P) for storytelling. Fredo for trap & street rap.

Streatham had a triple entendre. "Cutting through bricks like the 118" 1. The 118 bus goes through Brixton 2. That same bus (118) smashed into a brick house (through bricks) 3. Line before talking about friends selling weed and then cutting through bricks of cocaine.

From someone from south London who watches reaction videos, American youtubers rarely take time to understand these English songs with a lot of bars and decipher deeper meanings and messages, however you have done a great job with this reaction. Picked up loads of metaphors and secret meanings even I missed out on and provided a good overview of not only the songs but the psychological conversations in the ‘interlude-esque’ intros.

One cultured reference you missed Dave make was in 'Streatham'. My G just came out for a shooting And Ramz done a madness, charting Say that man got something in common 'Cause trust me, both of their tings been barking Ramz is a UK artist who made a single called 'Barking'. As well as this 'barking' is a slang term for shooting. Hence 'both of their tings been barking'.

Dominic Campbell So glad you and many others are giving him the exposure he deserves. And at 11:30 that was Burna Boy who is wavey as fuck. I’d recommend the song “Sekkle Down” by him ft J Hus (the other wavey feature on psychodrama). You should check out Hus as well, such as his ‘Common Sense’ album which also features Burna Boy. Lots of different vibes and moods in that album but it’s one of my favourites.

Love his wordplay throughout. I like the way he sets it up. Like the lines about his clothes to handling beef. He didnt miss a beat. he's from a town called Streatham in South London . Streatham is big though, so there are different parts. There is Streatham Hill, Streatham Common, Mitcham Lane, Streatham Park, and Streatham Vale. He's from Streatham Vale and we call that part "the Vale"
