I miss listening to oldies station that kearth played. Haven't found a good oldies station since I retired to Pennsylvania. I left So. Cal in 1981 when I entered the United States Air Force. the small segments playing on youtube. is the closes. they bring back memories. I get a kick on the time they say that played. I think what I would be doing if I was living back in So. Cal. allot of memories.
I'm with you. 50s 60s 70s. K EARTH 🌎 101 FM sweet music. Dusty Springfield. Beatles. Rolling Stones. Gary Puckett etc. Huggy Boy rip. Shotgun Tom Kelly! And Yes Christina Kelly👍
Fell in love with K Earth 101 when I was in H.S. at Fairfax. My senior year we had a drafting instructor name Mr. Brundige and he stayed listening to K-Earth 101. Had him for my 5th period, I didn't have a class afterwards. Man good times!
This guy was really good. The best jocks had good voices but didn't force them. And the ability to be entertaining in 10-15 seconds. And be backed by tremendous imaging and jingles.
Definitely smooth as silk and typical of KEarth101, a bit too mechanical perhaps, but that's probably what management wanted. I just went back and listened to Christina Kelly and she wasn't very mechanical sounding, she was pretty awesome.
This guy Dave Randall rules. He's my favorite dj in the whole world. The only bummer is, he wouldn't play my request, Ca Plane Pour Moi by Plastic Bertrand. I guess those corporate music programmers just don't give the poor guy any latitude. Rock on Dave Randall. You dah man!
K-Earth used to be the best. Now, they mostly play songs from the 80's and 90's. That tells you what I think of those decades. K-Earth is catering to Milleniels (or however it's spelled). Yet, Milleniels don't listen to FM radio all the much.
I currently live in Northern Utah but growling up until i was 11, Lived in Southern California. I was born in Los Angeles... to quote shot gun Tom Kelly, "You better believe it baby. " I loved KRTH KEARTH but recently I listened online and don't like it as much, they have changed!!! The weekend staff half of them are gone, and the music is more focused on 80s with few 70s songs in the mix. The KEARTH I remember focused more on the 60s and 70s with a few 80s songs mixed in by I'd say maybe 2009 don't know exactly when. KEARTH is still good but not the best anymore, Christina Kelley, Sky Walker, Jim Carson, and Charlie Tuna are the only things keeping the station alive anymore. And I live about hour away from salt lake there oldies stations are ok, my current favorite is "Utahs classic "The Arrow" playing late 60s, 70s, and 80s music.
@@HugoVargas-yk9up A year ago Utah launched a station that's similar to K Earth right here in Utah county playing alot of the same oldies once heard on K Earth. Check out Utahs Goat listen live if you would like.
I live in New England and I’ve heard this guy. He does VO for sure. The way he says 10,000 dollars…..I’ve heard that in promos on the radio and maybe TV too.
