So you literally reacting to all my favorite bands and therefore are my favorite channel. :) First heard Jamiroquai on tape in about 1995 when virtual Insanity came out been a fan ever since and oh my God their live performances are absolutely absurd.
The guy is called Jay Kay, they were the most successful of the British Acid Jazz bands of the late 80s early 90s. I saw them back in the day when they played Glastonbury festival, must've been 92/93 ? They are a great live band and still going strong.
@@samechick It was, they were halfway down the bill. I remember it was a really hot day and most of the crowd were sitting around kinda stoned just enjoying the vibe, a couple of tunes in they had everyone up and moving around.
This is one of the best bands ever! So funky and the bass guitarist Stuart zender is one of the best out there! Jamiroquais latest album is awesome. Theyre still on fire!! ❤❤
"It's all about the bass" you're damn right ! The album version has a different arrangement, no heavy funky bass during the chorus, and longer jam at the end. Both versions are insane !
Heard the ‘Stoned Again’ version? Basically the same length as the album version but with Stuart Zender on bass ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WN0Ug27cIXI.html ✌🏼
Jamiroquai's original bassist and, in my opinion, one of the greatest bass players ever... MR. STUART ZENDER!! Mind you, he was like 20 years old when he recorded this; By age 25 he had already kicked almost every bassist's ass.
Lol. Well said partner! Zender caught the attention of so many with his work.including me.I absolutely agree that he is one of the greatest bass players ever.
If you review the lyrics, this song fully a song about marijuana. Space Cowboy = pothead And yeah...80% of Jamiroquai is mostly bass driven. Thanks to the original bass player, Stuart Zender.
For the first three minutes I was distracted from the lyrics. I like "Space Cowboy". I'll have to watch the video to understand what the song is about.
Herbie Hancocks head hunters.......from a german point of view you just managed to climb the sun back over here. One not only comprehends the song, having you dude is turning it to a completely new level.
Dude's got a Stevie Wonder back groove over a funk plot with little Bootsy breaks involved. He doesnt sing like anyone but he sounds like alot of good singers. I wasnt crazy about it but the song is better than most . Then OR now.
samechick good to see a reaction video to classic Jamiroquai The bass player (Stuart Zender) was only a teenager when the band formed. Such a talented and creative band. Check out there early live performances. Here’s one to get you started ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dbi-iNOIoSw.html Stay safe ✌🏼
samechick you’re welcome Brazil or Argentina 1997 are great concerts to watch. There rare performance of ‘Funktion’ in Brazil is a great example of the 90’s Jamiroquai groove and sound. Montreux Jazz festival in 1995 is acid jazz funk at its best 👍🏼 even if you don’t do a reaction to any of the videos well worth watching ✌🏼
all this time later, I keep watching this segment, over and over. Mmmmmmmmm. The mocking of the John Lennon glasses. It's like having UHF without all the annoying antennas.
Hi Esoteric Veritas, Dave reacted to the Verona version, and I'm not quite sure if I remember why that's the one I had noted on my list. Here it is though. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WAbqNtB-Tr8.html
