I think he's had them, but probably never bought or toasted them himself. He knew they came 2 in a pouch and they came in strawberry. He's got a wife and kids that probably gave them to him, and likely saw them come out of the toaster, thinking they were first frozen. Dave didn't have kids until very late in his life, and I doubt his family would be eating those kinds of things growing up.

Some of the comments seem critical of this bit/Dave/the show at this time. I look at it and see how amazing it was Dave could take a mundane household topic and make it an interesting, amusing, 5 minute bit. This is (also) why Dave is great.

There's a Carson channel. They've been selling Carson DVDs on late night infomercials since the 90s. At first they probably didn't want to give them away for free on the internet but many are available now. And you know nothing about Johnny if you don't think he was a pioneer of late night talk shows. Ask any comedian what they think of Carson.

You may get a lot of unsubscribing with your new flashy 24/7 LIVE sign. I’ve seen it happen on other channels. People get tired of tuning in to see what is live, that really _isn’t_ live. It’s just pre-recorded and playing as live. It gets to be annoying, so people unsub to not see the alert in their list of subscriptions. Other than that, keep up the great work!! ❤️
