Hi Dave. I'm a new RU-vid shaver and have seen a few of your videos. I subscribed at that point and am glad to see you are interested in making videos again. I hope to see more from you! BTW, I'm in Florida as well. I am a fan of the King C. Gillette blades. I find them to be as sharp as a Silver Blue but smoother. It's a bit of a shame that they are so expensive and that they are only sold in those overdone packages.The razor is alright, the head in particular. The handle is not my thing so I just use a different one. Thanks for the shave and video. I hope you have a great weekend! -Eric Adams

What's up Dave, I have the King C. Gillette razor, I think the handle is too long, my go to is the Gillette Heritage razor with the Wilkinson Sword blades. Great video !

I did see Van Der Hagen soap in a few places locally, but now, not so often. I'm not even certain if the Walmarts around here sell it anymore.

What you could do about the handle is, try a different handle with the KCG razor head.

The KCG blades are probably different or "better" than the Gillette Platinum blades. Not yet sure, since I am on my first ever Gillette Platinum blade. I had used four of the KCG blades.
