A song that seems very fitting with what we're going through these days. By request... Even though we're off the road, this is our way of staying connected with all our friends out there.... #davestamey #porchmusic #ifthemorningcomes
Describes exactly what I’m going through right now with my recent diagnosis of cancer. Haven’t been able to be horse back for almost 6 months after riding several times a week for almost 40 years. I hope I still have some miles to go. Thanks Dave
Your music is a real blessing. Thank-you. I live in a box canyon. My neighbor's cattle were loose in our neighborhood, so I contacted my neighbor about this. I shared some photos of the cattle with family and added a link, Cattle Call performed by Eddy Arnold. Then your music/storytelling came up on my RU-vid feed. I just has to share with friends and family. Thank-you for your quality workmanship. Such a blessing. 🐐🐣🐤🐥🐔🐔🐔🐔🐓🐎🐎🐎🐎
My husband and I have spent many loving hours listening to your music. I would be delighted to hear you perform a Christmas song you have written and have sang. May the joy you have given us come back to you twofold.
Hi Mr. Stamey, my dad, Frank Hunter, from Mammoth Lakes Pack Outfit used to sing Tonopah, among many other songs, to my brother and I whenever we would drive home from my grandma and grandad's house in the summers. I love your Porch music series and look forward to each new video. Thank you so much for being a part of my family memories!
Hi, Dave. I wish I could, genuinely, say that I've been listening to you for years. But the fact of the matter is that I just discovered you but a few months ago. I love your music. What a talent you are. You sing from the heart and that's very obvious. You are a true cowboy and you love it. It shows. I'm very envious of you and your ability to bring forth a song and capture the undivided interest of all who hear your music. Just a little suggestion: When you play up close and personal, as in the Porch Music sessions, show a little more guitar in the video so as to help those of us who are not quite as musically endowed as you, that we might learn how you do what you do so well. They say imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. I would love to be able to do what you do with a song. God bless you and don't ever stop playing your songs. Many, many thanks.
“The answer my friend is blowing in the wind”, and this song answers the questions better than most poetry and mosts songs do. A truly beautiful montage of metaphor that brings life into perspective. Thank You Dave!
Hey, Love the music keep it up! It would be my request that you would put out a video of how to play some of your songs. Something like Buckaroo Man or Nightrider Lamet. I Am trying to learn songs to sing around the campfire for this summer. Thank you for all your music! Me and the people down at Butte Creek greatly enjoy your music.
E C I’m doing the same. Check out his/ other cowboy singers’ live performances at the Cowboys Poetry Gatherings on RU-vid. It’s a little easier to see the full guitar, slow the video down, and write the tabs down using those videos. Good luck.
As I always do when I am able to catch a song of yours, thought what a talent you are. When I see you the first song that comes to mind is "Chattanooga Choo Choo". and that 45 demo you cut. It was awesome. I'm off to catch #1 and 2 but have my notifications on now :) So from "way back when, David and you use to come to the Butcher Shop on 4th in Grover City", I wish you and yours health and happiness. ~ Carla ~
Thank you Mr.Stamey, love your music and the meaning each song has. Is there a way to perhaps find the chords to your songs to learn to play them? Thanks again for all you do!
Jesus, I don’t know what you look like, but I long to see your face, especially with the direction that our current politicians are “leading” us. I’m convinced it’s happening so we turn to you for our needs.
Your voice is like being at your Nana’s house in the summertime, with the breeze blowing her white lace curtains. Nana is in the kitchen making bread.......
Your ability to create songs that touch people so deeply is awsome. Have been and always will be a big fan. Please come back to wickenburg Arizona to play again soon
The analogy of this is so fitting for things I'm going through that it brought tears to my eyes and fortified my resolve and courage to move through the day with hope for the future - but more important, peace to enjoy the moments along the way.
Im a friend of Kirk Gentry and I met you during a concert here in Whitefish, your music has always gotten me through the good and the bad times Sir, very glad you are well and healthy! Stay that way and please keep putting out these beautiful songs, “good luck, best wishes” are my sentiments to you Sir. -Taylor
