You're mentioning *Mariah Carey* out of all the vocalists in the world for a reason: she's undoubtedly one of the greatest vocalists of all time. Vanessa will edge her out in belting because her voice is naturally more powerful being a Falcon Soprano but Mariah would also beat her in other categories.

@@GarageStudio7 Mariah is great, but can she do all that Vanessa can do, vanessa has more power, can sing any kind of music, her vocal range is incredible 47 notes in 13 seconds, Can bring you to tears with some of her songs, can hold a note longer than anybody I have ever heard. 22 seconds on the song "Sun's up" and 26.9 seconds on the song "Heroes live foerever" at the 2000 Summer Olympic games in Sidney Australia. Mariah has a pretty voice and 5 octave range with that Whistle. but in my opinion that is not enough to be better than Vanessa, It is strange she is not well known in America where I am from.

Mariah held a note that was essentially just as long in "Lead The Way" however overall Vanessa has more breath control when it comes to sustaining notes. Barbra Streisand, Melba Moore, Tonex, Bette Buckley have more breath control though however she's definitely one of the very best. @@GarageStudio7 Vanessa is overall better. Her lows are better, as she supports lower(D3/Eb3 vs F3/F#3) and her projection is better. Their head voice are pretty equal. Both don't use it often, but can produce a nice connected head voice. Their transitions are equally good. Also, Vanessa definitely has better stamina and breath control. Mariah is one of the best, but Vanessa is still technically better.
