You are one smooth player there Bart, really natural style...killer Les Paul! I remember playing a friends 3 pickup P90 Explorer in the 80s....I remember how much I wanted that sound!
I love the David Allen p90s pickups. Thank you very much for the opportunity to listen to an exceptional demo. I think I'm going to replace my gibson les paul junior pickup with a Stray cat although I also like Cool cats. I don't like the Stratocaster sound but I do like its maple neck, so my next project will be a little monster that could be called Strat Junior: P90 + volume control + tone control.
Absolutely fab sound from those set of pickups and really nice playing ....love the coil tap idea ... really nice sounds and hugely versatile.. Hello from Ireland :-)
Dart Vader it is very versatile. I only wish I could also have only the middle pup by itself. But I can always grab a strat if I really really want it.
How's a middle pickup on it's own supposed to sound ? Is it supposed to sound weaker than the bridge and neck pickups because of it's position ? When I play the middle position in my black beauty it sounds kind of odd .. I don't know if it's the wiring or what . But the higher notes sound tiny and the low notes sound really bassy . I don't know if that's normal for a middle humbucker .
+Koki Zuniga Have you tried adjusting the pickup height? Often that makes a world of difference. Lower it on the low string side and raise it on the high string side. Adjust to taste :)
