It’s a tough situation all around. My only worry is that there seem to be a number of past players who are not too happy with the organizations handling of their departure. Hard to tell whether it’s just the realities of a tough business or an indication of something the Packers need to take a look in the mirror on. Always felt pride in the way the Packers operate and want to think they do things right.

It's a business. These guys just don't like it when it doesn't benefit them.
@RitchieMusic
@RitchieMusic 6 месяцев назад
I'd have to say its a business and 30 years of being relevant shows the organization knows what they're doing. If I'm being real Donald Driver is the only one that honestly got treated differently on his departure. They kept him and extra year after he fell off which is more than they usually ever do for anyone else. In a perfect world you want to see all of our players get that kind of send off. From a humanitarian standpoint our front office is ruthless. From a football standpoint they do great job. We are playing football after all just so we don't forget. I b*tched about Bahk missing for time and as a fan it was frustrating. Still looking at what this dude was to us, a stud for years, one of the best at his position. From interviews I've seen he's as cool as the other side of the pillow and a good dude. I'm not sure who will be chugging the beers at the Bucks games anymore. Looking at it all i appreciate every snap and every practice this guy ever gave us. Its easy for us fans to become unappreciative $hit bags, but not one of us can say we would would rather have never had this guy, if you do you're a special time of remedial. The years he played were phenomenal and he was one of the best at the position. All that being said thanks for everything Bahk. It would be great to see you back as our online coach at some point. Stay strong my dude. Good luck with everything

its definitely the organization to some capacity. rodgers talked about it a few years ago. and lets be honest, they kicked out jordy even tho he was willing to take a pay cut, they cut clay the same way, mistreated rodgers, cobb, zadarius smith, davante, devondre campbell and now cutted Aaron jones cuz he wouldnt take a third pay cut. a third!!. i get rodgers was a tricky situation, but there is no way all these guys were captains and prominent members of the team and, besides rodgers, had zero drama and were team leaders during their tenures and all of them left feeling disrespected by the team or in bad terms.

Sorry… “saw the non verbal stuff when I decided to put my health first”. Bro you’re a professional football player that was paid 100 million and basically missed 3 straight seasons… don’t play the victim, nobody was mad you were hurt and needed surgery, but they’re allowed to hate the situation it created. Team still has to play 17 games, salary cap is what it is. I’m so tired of the victimhood in today’s society. I can’t respect a guy that can’t see the situation for what it is

lol he’s playing the victim? Yikes dude. He’s all class while being direct and honest about what happened. If you’re honestly losing respect for bahktiari after this interview then you had your mind made up way before. There’s devondre Campbell and then there’s bakhtiari. Polar opposites on their exit and bahk obviously knows what the situation is here

At 1:16 he backtracks and says if he'd done this sooner than he wouldn't have lost those two years. He does take accountability for it. I hear your point, but with the context of the statement I just pointed out what I heard was tht he feels if he had just gotten the surgery sooner instead of trying to play through a serious injury then we might not be here. To me, that's taking accountability.

Not that it matters at this point, but it would be interesting to know the full details of the injury/re-injury causes, surgery options, and anticipated recovery. It seems likely that Bahk knew whether or not his knee was recovering or could recover enough to get back to playing, and I can't fault him for knowing the constructs of his very large contract in comparison to an unfortunate sunset to his prime playing time of his career by injury. Love his heart. I personally think he knew his limitations. Wasn't there a re-injury post surgery on a vacation while climbing or hiking a hill also??? Hope him the best. Just can't swing an extra 20M with the prolonged (multi-year) injury absence.

Great episode. I've been defending Bakhtiari through this entire process. I have also torn my ACL, meniscus and bruised those bones all at the same time. I know how long the recovery journey can take. In my opinion, I believe Bakhtiari should take this entire year off much like Gronkowski did dealing with his injuries. Then make a triumphant return in 2025 and perhaps, maybe hopefully back in Green Bay.

I’m a die hard Packer fan. Hate to say it, I’m sick of David B. I don’t blame him for the injury, I definitely blame him for how poorly he handled communicating his injury with the team. He destroyed his Packer legacy by leaving his team in dark, over and over and over again.

@@stockamx How does that make sense? So if he does X, it proves he's Z. If he does Y, it also proves he's Z. Sounds like you just have a thought in your head that is impervious to rationale. Bak got his contract because he was the best tackle in the game. He earned it, and it's unfortunate how the injury played out, but the suggestion that he "milked" anything and played up his injury is just absurd and plain stupid.
@stockamx
@stockamx 6 месяцев назад
@@dneuens If all that money came out of your pocket you night have a different opinion?
@dneuens
@dneuens 6 месяцев назад
@@stockamx Uh, did it come out of yours? Truth be told, it didn't come out of anyone's since the Packers are a publicly owned team without a single owner. In fact, they have a trough of hundreds of millions in profits stowed away that they plan on using for renovations much like the ones they've already done (and buying property around the stadium). The team hasn't suffered for it, and they chose to pay Bak knowing there are injury potentials, as is the case for all players in a highly contact sport. While nobody is happy for the injury that cost Bak 2-3 years, the notion that he "milked" them for every last penny (even though he was released and won't get every last penny) is wrong, cynical, and absurd. Besides, Bak has never been anything but a hardworking, upstanding person for the team. He sacrificed his body a lot for this team and won a lot of games while protecting Rodgers blindside as well as you could pray for. He earned his money and our respect. Don't be a tribalist interloper.
