This could very easily be me doing mine , nice video , one that brings the smell of bright - got hay to your nostrils !....... Can I ask , what size back tyres are you running on the 1490 , mine was sold me with the wrong ones on it , please just read all the numbers moulded into the side of one back tyre , & reply on here with all of it , I,d be much obliged , I,m doing various repair jobs & adaptions on my 1490 , I,ll video the main bits & start my own videos , on your "baler driving 1490 " did you convert the double - acting spool valve to straight single - acting , or adapt it to serve as either ? I,ve adapted mine to serve as either , to get the baler back door to bang shut without overloading the un - used spool service , quite a job , but all done on hydraulic hardware , one ball valve , & 1 new hose . It can be done , with care , to any or all of the maximum stack of 3 spool valves you can have on these tractors , so you end up with a max. of 3 individually switchable to either single , or double acting spool valves , a real brainacher first time through , but greatly satisfying , & it makes your tractor much more versatile , the ability is there on these old D.B.s , you just have to know how to access & use it . Built with Yorkshire innovation . Replies on here please , Happy Spanners !
