It hurts knowing that this guy has never given enough recognition. He's got an amazing voice and such a great personality. The fact that he's humble and not self-conscious about it and his real talent adds to his overall charm. Such a pity. I hope he comes back sooner. He's the kind of musician we need, not unlike most of the "musicians" we have today. Oh, and he's sexy, too. haha

Absolutely the best male vocalist to ever come into the spotlight from American Idol. An a model for the perfect rock voice. Rich low baritone voice that's more dynamic than the best out there to tenor high notes that stay rich and full even when he's in full belt. This is what every singer wishes they could do. Most tenors who can hit those crazy high notes have to really be carefully on the low-end or they sound thin... Cook has vocal chords from Heaven.

David Cook and David Archuleta were the 2 best to come out of American Idol.

I have only gotten literal goosebumps twice in my life and the first time was when I saw him live and he stepped back from the microphone and sang acappella with that amazing, raspy voice he has.

for some reason this song come into my head today… Watching this years later, it's like wow can this dude sing! Amazing lows and highs. Probably the best male vocalist who ever came on that show. His win was well deserved. Sad his career hasn't been as big. Perhaps he should have rose up through other channels.
