First caller, you just gotta ignore the guy lmao whenever he complains at lunch, just either look at him for an extra second and chuckle then look away, or just pretend nobody heard what he said. Don’t acknowledge the negativity, and if he ever says anything nice or positive for once, make sure to have an overtly positive reaction on your end. Ice out the negatives
I like how the solution is always “simply talk to the person about the situation” but instead people make crazy lies and over-complicate extremely simple situations. It’s funny to watch and crazy to think about how people would rather do that than be like “alright man let’s keep it light” when negative Nancy gets a little too emo.
But he said his coworkers have already said something to him and told him to stop bringing up work everyday and he didn't listen. I think you might've missed that part. But talking wasn't working. I do agree with you though that usually a good solution is to talk it out. But if they just gave that advice all the time it would be a boring show haha
Eeyore sounds pretty cool. Complaining to management in company meetings? Every office needs someone to fall on the grenade like that but I don't want to talk about work at lunch either. Tell Eeyore you don't want to talk about work at lunch. Boom. Solved. Signed, a Midwesterner who is comfortable being direct.
People have way more time on their hands than I do if they're visiting a rat hole. But I guess for everyone who was amazed and awestruck by the beauty of Killarney National Park in Ireland, there is somebody who would rather go to the rat hole for some Internet clout.
I hate that podcasters think using RU-vidr advice of putting a "coming up" part at the beginning adds engagement. It does for RU-vid type videos, not podcasts, it's so annoying having to skip the first minute every time I start watching an episode.
That first call is why every group needs its a-hole. Someone just needs to be honest with the guy and tell him they don't like him and don't want him sitting with them. He will leave and not come back. Problem solved.
I gotta give you guys props for uploading this prerecorded podcast the same week were David Cross is a viral meme right now and probably the most popular hes been in like 10 years. I know it probably wasn’t purposely done but it was insane timing 😂
Another great episode, thanks guys! Would be great to have an new opener with the angelic musical stylings of David Cross (including the holy shit at the end from Jake) - captures the essence of the show so well 🤌🙌
