Ain’t nothing like COGIC praise & worship especially West Angeles !! Hiya! West A was my grandfathers sister church in LA. My grandfather was pastor Joe C Brewster of Mount Olive Church of God & Christ in LA ! Even before West A My grandfather’s church was what we now call a “mega church” back in the day ! Ppl would stand in the windows and watch and I heard stories of how even pimps and prostitutes back in the day had too much respect for the church to come in and worship so they’d watch outside and participate & be filled with the Holy Ghost ! Bishop Blake preached my grandfather’s funeral in 1999. Idk about the church now but I know Mount Olive COGIC is a national historic landmark in L.A. now so it’ll be there forever. My grandfather built that church to what it was and is today he was an amazing man over 50 years in that pulpit. Rip my “Big Daddy” The late pastor Joseph(joe) C. Brewster. Blake was his bishop and they were great friends. He more so was the peer of bishop Blake’s dad too.
