I did Van Nuys Blvd. in 1978 / 79....and he's straight up right on...so many brutal tire melters, hoodless, from block to block. Pro Street was barely started yet, and it started right there. Boulevard Knights was filmed while we cruised on Wed (club meetings) nights. A slow moving parking lot on weekends. Sunset to Jack -In-theBox, and back for hours. Races happened a couple blocks off the cruise.

I think Adam's dry sense of humor is lost on most of the people commenting here. He isn't really intimidated by the sound of the Camaro. He's just joking around sarcastically.
These guys totally missed the point of this build. I like Adam but sometimes he follows the lead of that leprechaun too much. Freiburger's little toe is more a car guy than that leprechaun is.
The guy literally has a Lamborghini Miura INSIDE his home ...on the 2nd floor. His centerpiece for his living room cost more than you'll make in a lifetime.

and by the way I recently learned that blower whine comes from air being trapped in the wide groved pulley and belt not from the gears compressing air inside.
Adam Carolla thinks he's a car guy because he owns some high end cars.......but he could stand to learn lot from Jay Leno. A real car guy doesn't look down his nose at the cars he wouldn't bother with because he can afford super cars. Jay shows as much love and appreciation for his own little 289 Ford Falcon as he does his McLaren Super cars........ Carolla always seems like he's simply attempting to endure these spots on the cars he very clearly has no real interest in anymore. He's a bit of a car snob to the extreme. He's like that guy who loved his Chevy until they day came he could afford something German or Italian. To each his own but if he's serious about running a car show channel he better get back in touch with an appreciation for more than just the brands that appeal to his new found taste for the super car tech or this won't work.
Adam is the guy who always liked the idea of being a car guy but not the dirt, grease and busted knuckles.It's the difference between knowing a little about cars and working on cars. you can tell there 30wt in Davids' veins. While Adman has an imported beer at best. He also always seems to have all the personality of a wet dishrag.

m2350 Too true, but EVs don't have fuel pipes, cam timing, piston rings, crank shafts, con rods, carburettors with needle valves, fuel injection, radiators, alternators, starter motors, wet sumps, spark plugs and so on.
NowAndThen_EH89JW There is still plenty that can go wrong in an electrical system and idk about you but id rather be covered in grease than bent over a wiring harness trying to find a short for hours on end.
m2350 I take your point, but I still feel there is far far less annual servicing and maintenance with an EV. This means annual costs. We will see. I would be sad to see the demise of the internal combustion engine. Do you know that they are becoming less welcome in urban areas? eg. free parking for EVs. in some places like London UK. Imagine no pollution in Los Angeles.

I am convinced that Adam Carolla believes that the only carb that exists is a "holley double pumper" thats all he says, anytime he looks at a carb. Really guys? seems like you could get any jackass from the counter at Autozone to host the show and they'd know as much.
