Never seen Dave speaking so openly about his relationship with Martin. Interviewer did a great job by allowing him to speak without being interrupted. Dave was able to find a flow...👌
Parlami. 👑💛🌹
I'm happy to have lived in the same era as this person, he lived very intensely for better or for worse but in the end I find him an intelligent, wise, discreet, humble, elegant, educated, never vulgar, extremely talented person , with great style in everything he does, I admire him very much
its amazing Depeche Mode throughout their entire career they've written some of not only the saddest but the darkest songs, songs with truly dark themes and lyrics and yet they put it to such good music that you're literally belting out in joy at a concert the saddest lyrics, thats truly magical art to be able to do that.
I got to see DM at the Honda Center in 2019.. best night ever. I felt the pain in Dave's interview, was very hard to watch. I live in Vegas but won't be able to see them in March.. makes me sad but I will always be happy I saw them all that night, May 22. I read other comments and agree the interviewers did a great job. Thank you!
I cannot imagine keeping the pace and endurance required being on tour as they will be doing. I know they prob have access to best of best in all areas to keep them going but i still cant fathom how physically exhausting it is. Thank you DM!
What Dave is saying about the songs being honest early in the video is exactly what I've been saying whenever people have been calling them lyrically dark lately. It's just like they're so used to the light of fluorescent bulbs at the light of candles. Flickering in a cave seems dark to them and it's like, but it's honest real light. It's real light. That's why Depeche Mode is special. People's eyes might be a little adjusted to these flashy bulbs, but if you let your vision clear and then you can see some natural light if you listen to Depeche Mode.
I’ve never seen Dave talking so openly about his relationship with Andy and of course with Martin, but when he talked about Andy......... I felt a strange kind of emptiness that I’ve never felt before............ 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 How much I miss Fletch, is almost 7 months from his death............. 😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔 I can’t imagine them now without him....................... 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭........... But I think that Memento Mori is an album that talks also about Fletch in an indirect way.......... 😢 if you listen the song ghosts again you will think about Andy.................
I do agree with you. Hearing Dave talking about Martin and Andy is very intimate and emotional. Can definitely make you cry, because Dave talk about them like you would talk about your own dear friends you suddenly miss so much. This is so hard to live this situation. DM had to overcome so many problems yet during their history, and now it comes to overcome Andy's passing.
Don't cry so much...😄. Dimmi...chi è il mandante, chi vi obbliga di scrivere i commenti? Sei in pericolo? Siete tanti? Vi stiamo aiutando, non dovete avere paura. Chi è, lui, la moglie? Parlate. E state tranquilli. 👑💛🌹

What was the worst moment in the history of Depeche Mode?
lol…the Taurus and the Leo being made to talk it out, noticing there’s a lot alike but also very different. They’re both fixed sun signs, square to each other: tension. This is so astrologically accurate, I got a giggle from it.
"All photographs are momento mori. To take photographs is to participate in another person's, or thing's, mortality, vulnerability or mutability. Precisely by slicing out this moment and freezing it, all photographs testify to time's relentless melt" (Susan Sontag).
I never would have imagined how distant the relationship was between Martin and Dave. I feel very saddened by this. I'm hoping that they have time to build their own very special relationship.
I met Anton back in 2002, I think. Actually went to a close friend of his for a dinner. And this friend was a friend of mine, too. Only about 5 people. I asked him directly, what Fletch´s role was. And he said: He is Martin´s best mate. That´s it? Yeah, that´s it. Also, it has been said many times that Martin is not a good communicator, and he is not good at encouraging people, or just saying, hey, what you did was amazing. Alan has spoken about it. And it really seems like Dave is still trying to be appreciated by Martin.
Its been documented that Dave did not have a close relationship with either Mart or Fletch. They're BFF. When Alan left, Dave felt very alone because at least he had him as an ally. So sad, after all this time. They grew up together!
I'm really sorry about this comment, but could you at least translate the questions? I'd just like to know the context. Add your own subtitles, please. :)
He’s right Dave’s right and it’s a hard thing to live by. It’s also a part of a very particular organization called the freemasons or the Scottish rite but in general, the meaning it’s just what it means, and something that we all should understand come to terms with and be able to let that give us the momentum to live in this world more while we still can
@@vanessaa7602 really Vanessa? It appears you’re the one that needs to get with the program. Once you get some brain floss, he left because they forced him out. Even recently, when Dave was asked in Germany before the album came out the look on his face was not happy when they asked if alanwas going to join them
Really not much to say man. 12:50 explains. Its just a rough complicated situation. Thanks for leading the shows and energy. You did help drive the cause, although, again @ 12:50. Its like the same thing man. Thats what mart was into why would you be any different? Intellect is just recognize and respond analysis, sometimes, all too quickly. I dont doubt that the situation is complex but, this is the same crap, the same force of evil. Wish you were here, stovall
The right thing you guys could do is at least try to get Alan back into the band. Is resentment stronger than common sense? You need a person with a special understanding of the place of synthesizers in sound - and Peter Gordeno, although a good professional, is more of a performer than an experimenter. You risk losing the remnants of the space left over from the previous DM in the sound.

Cash register cardboard cutout absolute did nothing he had a white man's disease you have no rhythm he was a f****** joke thank God he's gone I'm sorry he's dead but his musical contribution Depeche mode zero did you hear I said absolutely I'm actually clown joke
Сегодня самый лучший день 13.01.2023. Настоящие Время 13:44 . Что это значит- вам лучше знать. Я думаю про Светлое Будушее Оттуда! Пс. Хотите познакомится поближе?
@dds bobos Each to their own; I personally prefer their newer stuff. But getting Alan back doesn't automatically mean it would be any different, or better. It's been 27 years, after all. Perhaps you need to watch that other recent interview with Dave?
@@Aevion93 DM without Alan is just a cheap American rock band. I remember all too well when Martin admitted that after he has written the songs, he passes it all onto Alan and Martin and Fletch goes to parties while Alan works 18 hours a day to present a finished product.
He left 30 years ago! Maybe they already asked, and maybe he said no? It's hardly like Alan is making fantastic music now. I can't find anything recent 🤷
@@ddsbobos7873 yikes.... Cheap American rock band? Perhaps you should stop paying attention to this 'pastiche' then and move on? Face it, Alan's not coming back.
