in 1989, following the Armenian earthquake, the biggest names in rock united to re-record Smoke On The Water (view it here: • Smoke on the Water wit... ).
As part of the record promotion, Rock Aid Armenia and the BBC did a live broadcast to the USSR. Millions of people tuned in to hear Ian Gillan, David Gilmour and Bruce Dickinson being interviewed about their role the Rock Aid Armenia project.

wes K I do agree that a lot of black people did start very popular forms of music, such as rock, blues and rap. The naive African music is innovative to say the least, but it isn't very good or technically complex in comparison to European music which would have come out at roughly the same time. I don't even know if native Americans had any music to be honest.

For as long as they can remember, Ian and Bruce have been good friends. Bruce would go to Ian's house for dinner on a regular basis with his girlfriend. Now, whenever Bruce is in France, he visits Ian's château in the Ardennes. (And it's beautiful btw. Ian only paid about 200,000Fr for it, and now it's worth a small pile!)

Jon Lord originally *owned* this song on the Hammond(yeah, yeah, yeah...Blackmore's opening riff is one of the *most recognisable* , but...) But who is playing keyboards here? I see Roger Meddows Taylor on Drums, and Brian May on Red, but there is one unidentified guitarist. and Bruce Dickinson may be Ian Gillan's successor for the golden voice.
