Dave did the music first and Polly did the lyrics "all off a painting" on the wall in his house which a friend gave them. Chester Karmen ( Madonna, Duran,Duran, Paul McCartney Greg Phillipinganes on keys.( Music director for Micheal Jackson). Steve DiStanislao (drums Crosby & Nash, Kenny Logins) Joan Mello sax got the job over a text from Brazil ( which Dave schedule a concert in Joan home town) Guy Pratt bass since Roger left in 1984. Dave influence "Pink" Anderson & "Floyd" Council jazz players from 1920's/ Band has said it like no other person to play with and everyone around him. Dave & Polly walking the streets in Venice saw a street musician playing wine glass. instead of tipping him he ask him to play beginning of "Shine On" and payed him. That's Dave:

If you recognize, Guy Pratt was the young bass guitar player (and second singer) from PULSE concerts tour videos. He plays now in the band with another original Pink Floyd member - 'Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets'. This band are still on tour now, playing early Pink Floyd songs.

He's the son of actor Mike Pratt. In 1996, he married Gal Wright, daughter of the late Pink Floyd keyboardist Rick Wright.

Hi guys, thanks for a terrific reaction! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I don't really know much more about jazz than you do, but I think this song really shows off David's versatility, and when it sounds this honey-sweet, what's not to like? His musicianship is world class., and as you said, he surrounds himself with excellent musicians who all appear very happy to be there. This is a song I pull out when things get too stressful or hectic - calms me right down. Cheers!

I love that guy! If he creates such a warm atmosphere right at the beginning of the concert, then the whole concert must take place in the same pleasant and warm atmosphere, and this beauty is of course transmitted to all listeners. It must be a real joy and honour to play with such a musician but most importantly a human being. Too bad we can never experience it live again. That's my biggest regret...

I actually think he may have another tour in him. Smaller scale, select venues, but if his health holds up I have faith he can pull it off. I didn’t think 2016 would happen either but it did!

@@mikewatts867 I mean, he sold almost all his guitars! What will he play (joke ;-). But I think I heard from him that he's given up gigging. He still occasionally composes and records short videos from his studio on the Thames but I don't think we'll see him live anymore. Too bad - he still looks very good but still - he's almost 80 now.

The inspiration for his wife's lyrics came from a painting of a girl in a yellow dress. I don't know if they own it or saw it in a museum or gallery. But David has the perfect voice for this bluesy jazzy smoke filled number. It would be great to hear him do an entire album of similar music. Surprising and intoxicating.
