“The Girl Next Door” is a really good movie and it’s so cute how he fell in love with her. A man would do anything to keep his woman happy and protect her from anything and anyone and he for sure did that for her.
Okay so this was me and my husband's song, he just died a few months ago but for 8 wonderful years he was the love of my life... We shared something deeper and more meaningful than anyone could ever possibly ever imagine and every time I hear this song it of course immediately reminds me of him... Anyway I just wanted to say, seeing some of the comments made me smile, made me laugh... And I know he would have too. I've wanted nothing more than to die and be with him since he passed but you all have given me some hope and I don't believe for one second that it was a coincidence...

I have listened to this song maybe 10 times today! It reminds me of when you first meet someone that you think is special. You really want that person to be different from ones you have been with in the past that you are willing to take a chance and risk getting hurt...
This so takes me 12 years back in time. It moves me and makes me 'ill'. It kind of makes it worse to type it all to strangers, knowing that it really doesn't matter. This song takes me to the time where I didn't need to try to find my soul mate. Makes me feel even worst to know that I threw it all away, willingly, to try to find a more casual life. Oh well... I watched the movie, the girl next door with my late wife and I remember turning to her, telling her that she was worth the squeeze. My wife died ten years after this movie came out but those years were great years filled with many good times and sometimes hard times. Then she started having a persistent cough and would forget stuff. She was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and died less than 3 weeks after the diagnosis. She wasn’t perfect but she was my angel. I can still remember the little gasp she would make when she would drop things because she was a little clumsy. I wouldn’t get angry at her about breaking something and would just ask her if she was okay and she would just melt because it was an easy way to tell her how much I loved her. Life is such a wonderful gift and when you share part of it with someone you love, it truly is heaven.
