Strange, during the interview David Hockney is leaning in and the interviewer is leaning away. Unusual posture.

I think Gayford's just keeping out of frame in case the cameraman switches to a closeup of Hockney. Perhaps there are two cameras. Just guessing.

Hockney is smoking and perhaps the interviewer would prefer not to inhale. Love Hockney, hate the smoke!

David Hockney mentioned in another interview that his hearing is very bad. I think that's why he's leaning like that. Hearing aids help, but not completely

The interviewer appears to be close to falling off his chair in his effort to have more space between David Hockney and himself.

david saying this with absolute confidence. i'm not sure the first picture was an animal, could have been a person, could have been a tree. linear thinking david, linear thinking.

the reason that cave paintings often features large prey mammals is for the elders to pass down the message of the sanctity and importance of having a meat based diet, and to identify and conjure relation to the beast. we have lost all touch of this now; van gogh wanted to tell us about sunflowers, and that's great, but sunflowers die and disintegrate much as the modern human being.

This Martin Gayford's body language is very weird. Can't think what he is thinking but extremely narcisistic.
