The time is 1969. I am director/cameraman on a documentary feature film called The Nashville Sound. The 45th anniversary of the Grand Ole Opry. Everyone was there. Johnny Cash. Dolly Parton. Earl Scruggs. And I wanted to show what it was like inside a recording studio with a great producer who produced top-selling records and artists. Bob Johnston said yes. Backup musicians included Doug Kershaw, Charlie Daniels, and the star was a newcomer, Bubba Fowler. This clip gives a sense of how talented these people were (are).
