In 2021, David Hoke suffered a traumatic brain injury after he was run off the road while riding his motorcycle. Initially, David was unresponsive and his prognosis was grim. When he arrived at SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital - Bridgeton, David was struggling with severe memory and attention impairments. He was unable to care for himself and could not stand or walk without assistance. David, however, pursued therapy with a purpose and kept one main goal in mind.
