I thought I hated the show Frasier but once I gave it a chance I began to love it dearly.Hilarious,brilliant comedic writing and terrific acting from Mr Grammer and Mr Hyde Pierce.Well done on the award David and I hope you live a long and happy life.

DHP is a wonderful actor - surprised this was his first Tony. I'd hoped Jon Groff would win, but the voters probably figured at 21, and with all his talent (loved DHP's comment on that in his speech!) he'd have plenty of future opportunities. At the same time, I have to say, Melchior in SA is a really demanding role - you run the full gamut of emotions, plus you sing or share the lead, or have a substantial solo, in fully half the songs! Have you ever noticed that almost every tony winner first starts to exit the stage but then the presenters redirect them in the other direction. It happens quite often. :-)
