I am a combative's guy (SDC and CQC) and huge fan of Brother James and this system - but this combination and progression of techniques is way to complicated, and you should never choose to go to the ground with an assailant. IMO

It ain't enough Moneyin the world for me to be the person that he does his demonstrations on LOL

These are a collective of ground control drills....not techniques, each one can stand independent or use in conjunction of another ground controlling technique in this drill.....

Swift...Vee Arnis Jitsu is based on the Filipino martial arts of Escrima and Arnis. It was then applied to urban settings. If you look at some of Professor David James' tapes you will then understand that what he teaches is practical street fighting techniques. I'm not a student. But, I have studied different martial arts and Jiu Jitsu alone is not as effective. Also, if you defend yourself from an attack you ain't going to jail. Especially if you did not initiate the attack. Peace, out!

This is okay. But what if the guy gets you on the ground???? And is on top of you?? You see this is all good for standing up techniques but this is an incomplete system if it doesn't teach you ground defense against an opponent. Or do you think that someone will never ever in their life get you down on the ground? It does happen. Even by luck an opponent will get you down, where's the defense for that? This is a new age of jiu jitsu and wrestling etc. many martial arts are teaching ground defense and tactics. If you're not then you're screwing your students. Cuz when it does happen to them they'll be like a fish out of water. these are facts!
