I search the Internet every few years for that same performance. During the siege, I remember them showing a much longer version of him playing the song on an acoustic guitar. I believe he was sitting on the front step or porch of a house. I remember seeing it a few times on the 24 hour news networks back then. I have never been able to find it either. For whatever weird reason, that version of the song really hooked me. Good luck hunting it down.

1987 would be my guess, as this was written in response to the shootout incident with David Koresh's rival, George Roden, after which Koresh and the other men involved were briefly jailed, but all later acquitted. This is alluded to in the song lyrics.
