Kiefer came with his band singing with his group and he was very friendly he even spoke few words in French

I met Kiefer and got a photo with him a few years back. He was in the corner of a local dive bar in my town, and was probably a little drunk, so I’m not sure how much that had to do with his kindness… but he was super nice. He saw me hovering around the 3-4 people he was talking to and acknowledged me, invited me into the circle basically as he finished his story. Then when he was done I told him I didn’t want to bother him but just wanted to say I was a fan of his work, and he left the group he was talking to and spoke to me solo for like 5mins. He asked me what my favorite film of his was and seemed genuinely interested haha. We spoke about Stand By Me and Dark City (he told me those were his two most personal / meaningful films he had done) and then he took a photo with me and my then girlfriend. I let him go after that and we hung out around the bar drinking and an hour or so later as he was escorted out a back entrance by his security, as he walked past me he literally stopped, reached out his hand to shake mine and said “it was a genuine pleasure,” then left the bar out the back. It was crazy. I think he’s probably so used to people only recognizing him as Jack Bauer that a younger guy geeking out about Dark City stood out to him, but who knows. Either way he was really cool towards me. Oh and I also offered to buy him a shot and he almost said yes but then told me they had a tab open already and he didn’t want me to spend my money. Class act haha. He was in town with his country band and they had played a show earlier that night.

Dark city is an awesome movie. The Matrix owes it a great great debt.

Dude, no joke, I've been circling Jack Black accidentally my entire adult life. We're talking like 8 near misses where a close friend ends up hanging out with him, or working with him. lol That's such a great story.

He flipped a switch and became "Van Damme" and it was like I didnt exist anymore. He was performing for the crowd. It was fun to watch, but I was sad that mu moment was over. This was 96 or 97. Not sure what movie he was promoting.

My friends parents met him at restaurant when they were on their anniversary vacation. Friends mom was in love with Brosnan going back to Remington Steele. And when his dad told Brosnan about his wife being a big fan, Brosnan ordered a bottle of wine and brought it over to parents table and the mom freaked out. Brosnan took pics with them and took care of their meal before he left.

Nineteen years ago my wife and I were at a popular light house on Kauai. Brosnan was there with his then two young sons. He was walking around the grounds like a normal tourist. He later came into the gift shop and was making no attempt to not be noticed. It was almost like he wanted to be noticed. Seemed like a very unpretentious guy.

RU-vidr Daze with Jordan The Lion has a really cool story about him. Basically he delivered Eddie’s food to his home and Eddie was super nice and asked him to start bringing his food from then on. EVH would stand at the gate talking to him while he smoked cig’s. Sounded like a cool dude.

My first VH show was on the F.U.C.K. tour on my birthday in 1991. Probably the happiest most carefree time of my life and this story brings me right back to it. Thanks for sharing!!

A Weird Al concert is in my top ten concerts, and I've been to at least 100. He's an amazing showman.

I've met him too and it was the same deal. I watched a group of young girls come up to him at a hotel restaurant and interrupt his breakfast to get autographs, and he basically invited them to sit and have breakfast with him and talk. He's an A+ guy.

My cousins husband used to be his bodyguard and my cousin said he’s the nicest most humble person there is.

Keanu has suffered some major tragedies which does not surprise me, he always seemed like someone who carried a deep sadness and is as nice as possible to everyone because he knows what it is to hurt and doesn't want others to feel that pain. Just a genuine thoughtful person.

He's one of the most genetically diverse people around, which usually means good natured, not in any inbred camp, not spiteful or judgemental of others who are different (a common trait among inbreds- Adolf Hitler was one). Pacino bought us coffee, 4 Marines in dress blues, in Manhattan one morning. We were heading to the Waldorf to be the color guard for an event. Pacino was in a coffee shop. He spotted us walking by and ran after us to buy us coffee. He had family in the Corps. Great guy. Lot's of laughs. We appreciated it because we had time to kill and it was 6am and cold out.

Charlie was an acting teacher who practically adopted him as a teen and they were the best of friends. Charlie ended up with MS in his later years, and Al took care of his medical expenses until the very end. If you've ever seen Dog Day Afternoon, you've seen Charlie's wife, Penny Allen. She was one of the bank tellers.

He's great in the film "Living", which came out last year. It really makes you think about what's most important in life.

Just because the 5 year old wants some doesn't mean that the correct response is to give it to them. He was then forced to parent De Niro's kids because they're hanging around the elevator, and he did what he considered to be the right move as a 21 year old with limited experience with children. De Niro wasn't "tactful", he walked away because he was sorta called out for being a shitty parent that just left his kids outside to harass people trying to use the elevator. No idea how any of this is indicative of Krumholtz's character. What I do know is the experience I had when I met him. 🤷‍♂️

I met him once at a Red Lobster. He was a having dinner, security was around him and they had a private room. I was like 6 years old and security said you cant come in here. He said no its ok and told me to come over and sit with him. I sat next to him and he signed an autograph for me i still have to this day

One of my favorite actors.

My step-brother is an actor who has done some indie films and off-Broadway productions. I remember he told me a story about meeting D'Onofrio one time. He was waiting at a bus stop one night after getting out of some small theater, and D'Onofrio just random walked by and started chit-chatting with him like he was bored and trying to pass time. Don't remember exactly what they talked about, but my step-brother said he was incredibly nice... and also possibly the single strangest person he's ever talked to. Apparently, he came across almost like an alien who didn't quite understand Earth culture, but was trying to masquerade as a human... which might explain why he was able to play a great alien in _Men in Black,_ hahaha. Still, my step-brother said he was a *super* nice guy.

I could add they were from lil ol' backwoods Covington VA, so it was really cool for them..Their 2nd encounter was years later, so it was even more impressivethat he remembered them.They kept the pictures framed on their wall.

I've heard that too about him (like he can act weird) and also that he can be a big drama queen and very demanding on set.

Oh man, the Pearl Jam Ten album changed music for me. I was introduced to Pearl Jam back when I was in high school. I'll never forget it. The kid in my class, his name was Doug, brought me a tape (yep this was back before CDs) with Ten on it. I was an inner city kid so the only music I really knew was hip hop and R&B. Peal Jam opened the flood gates to all sorts of new music.

A friend of mine, a Freddie Mercury impersonator who has a queen tribute band, is a massive P.J. Fan and bumped into Eddie in a small town in Ireland, shared a pint. Eddie got on stage in the biggest arena in Ireland and spent 5 mins telling the story to the crowd and showing photos of the two of them in the pub on the big screens. Jelly

My family and I met him too at a conference in Ar. He was walking down the hallway and we were walking up towards him. He shook our hands and was so polite and sweet to the three of us. I think this was back in 1988. No one else was around and he could have easily ignored us but didn't. Very personable!

An old friend and bartendress from back in the day had a tattoo portrait of Cash on one thigh, Willie Nelson on the other and Patsy on her hip. She went to the Willie concert, which was on his birthday, for which she had backstage passes. 'Backstage', actually the tour bus, she ate guitar shaped cake and smoked out with ol Willie and friends, showing him her tattoos. He autographed her tattoo in marker, and when she got back she went straight to her tattooist and had the signature made permanent. Super cool guy, but then, everybody already knew that!

@@WinkLinkletter yeah Cash was just outside the back stage door outside with his tour bus parked on the street so it was about a 25 ft walk. There he was no body guards nothing a small crowd of people and he took the time to talk to everyone and shake their hands. He was a big ol country boy about 6'3 I would say. He was exactly as you see him in videos I was actually tongue tied and didn't know what to say just shook his hand and said its a real pleasure to meet you your music helped me through a lot of times. And he replied back like the voice of God, "God bless you son" and that was it 3 minutes life and unforgetable. I also love the highway men and would have loved to meet Willie, Chris and Waylon, Huge Waylon fan as well.

My wife was walking through the crowd at the ESPN bar in Chicago, probably 2001 or 2002, and out of nowhere LL Cool J stepped away from the bar, right into her path. She walked face-first square into his chest. He looked down at her (he had to be a foot taller) and said, "scuse me, little mama" and stepped around her. That was a short encounter but pretty awesome, lol

My nephew is a truck driver and had some free time so stopped at a restaurant to kill some time. He went and sat at the bar and while waiting for the bartender, they guy next to him struck up a conversation with him because he was wearing an Army baseball cap. They talked about his tour in Afghanistan and other stuff. As the guy was leaving, he thanked him for his service and paid for my nephews bill. After the guy was gone, the bartender said "Dude what did he say to you? You know that was Johnny Depp right?". My nephew had no idea lol. It was in New Mexico while Depp was filming Lone Ranger.

I had a friend who worked as security for an exclusive LA nightclub. He met many A listers, said most of them were cool but the rappers were the worst. Arrogant and rude, behaved like they owned the joint and treated the staff like servants, unless it was a cute waitress they wanted to bang.

It’s ironic, you hear how nice Adam Sandler is yet his films are constantly ranked amongst the lowest, for example Jack and Jill.

Cool man. I was in prison with Danny Trejo back in 1978. We did time in the can. And I met him in the laundry room.

I got my best friend to be a member of a motorcycle club cause I was a musician in that same club. He eventually got a job at Harley Davidson because of that. And him and me, we both grew up with Desperado and Vice City. So the man with the big cojones, Danny Trejo, walks in his store, cause he was shooting a movie in town. I have a gig the same day. My best friend invites Danny Trejo to my gig at a local pub. Danny Trejo says he would love to, but he has a very busy schedule because of the movie and writes on an A4 piece of paper "Dennis, Thank You! - Danny Trejo Machete" I keep it framed on my wall.

Met him at a punk concert back in '06(he was with a hot 20 something punk chick) super nice, gracious and took pictures with anyone who asked.

Once on a very empty road, he pulled up in a black Suburban next to us at a light. I was with my sister and ex girlfriend, and we were stat struck. We kept a conversation going the best we could by matching slow speeds (no one behind us or around to be bothered). Just another day in LA!

Met him briefly a couple of years ago at Heathrow airport, nice guy. Was amazed that he’s only 5’5, looks much bigger in film.

@Oddoneout well she was more discreet saw her a couple of times on the sets compared to Madd’s who was there everyday. The movie sucked but I had a great experience on the set seeing how a movie is done made some friends with the extras (since everyone was local) A very good experience lots of fun well paid and food was really good that’s what I remember from my experience

Hah, at Kirby Puckett's first pool tournament, my dad was trying to take a picture of me sitting next to Cal. It was one of those old 110mm cameras. Something wasn't working with the camera. Cal said to give him the camera, he and my dad were fumbling around with it for a minute and got it going and we got the picture. He was incredibly kind.

I would imagine the film set persona for actors is very different from their normal personality. From what I understand, Anthony Hopkins never spoke to Jodie Foster on Silence of the Lambs but from what I’ve heard he’s a nice guy.

We have TONS of stories about De-Niro being cold etc, so i'm not going to make any excuses for him. Some of his movies are great, but that doesn't mean he's a good person. To be honest he seems like a dick in a lot of the interviews he does.

Martin being unassuming by identifying himself simply as Steve, and being a comfortable conversation for the cousin, seems the focus of the story. The Ohio reference is inconsequential background info. Baldwin doesn't come back up because he is only mentioned for context, helping explain why the cousin was acquainted with Martin so that he would call them. That's awesome. I grew up on all of those comedy writing legends, many like him that most people only know as actors. Those guys were my idols.
