A truly special knife from a very unique maker. David Lespect (mentor to Thomas Gony @gtknives) is a French knifemaker with the gift of "vision." He "sees" the design of his knives in the raw materials before he ever makes the knife . He doesn't use stencils or templates, or computers, he just makes the knife! Totally crazy.

Im obviously not handling it. But I don't really see it being a safety issue slipping forward. Plenty of fixed blades are just like this guard wise and I've never had an issue. 🤷 Just a thought

OK, that is outright brilliant. With any photo I would easily assume this to be a fixed blade knife. The combination of elegant aesthetics, robust quality, action, and beautiful vintage handle makes this not only stunning but Next Level impressive. Appreciate the view, Frunkey.

Thank you for sharing but at 2 minutes I am definitely out. The knife looks great, more my taste than most others, but what you described means I can’t just order that specific knife.
